Massive potential at pools, 650 plus for a dead rubber game at the other end of the country crazy. No other club in our position would be able to do that barring a few big teams in the leagues above.

yes and getting 4k gates at home to watch crap players and boring matches. so much potential at the club now which has not always been the case.

A big please can the real team turn up on Saturday the backing of at least 650is unbelievable Jeff if you will pardon the pun. The massive following at Gateshead were badly let down so please no repeat. Their odious manager is spouting his mouth off about how they will beat us and get the double over us so be warned and put a show on for poolies every where. We have the largest following in the league taking our position into accounnt.

just a pity we haven,t the players available to pick a team that will give us something positive to get us through the summer. cannot imagine some of the loafers playing their last ever game for pools busting a gut.

Great turnout but X is a stupid name. It will always be Twitter for me as is Arsebook.

Think you'll find more & more of the media referring to it as "X" now. Not even using "formerly twitter".

Who would have thought it? Having seen Burnley, Fulham and Bristol City all at The Vic and bottom of the league at the time. Plus all your West Brom's Birmingham's et all and its Dorking Wanderers. FFS Pools give us an ending to give us some cheer with "summer" approaching. To The 'Artlepool 2-0.

Super Pools slipped to 14th tonight after Eastleigh win and jump above us, top half finish not looking on the cards now.... unfortunately.

I see people are dropping out at a rate of knots, judging by the number of fans trying to sell tickets on Facebook. Awful time for kick off combined with train strikes.
I wish everyone going a great day out but personally happy the season is ending. At this stage I’m not really bothered if we finish 12 or 15th.

I don’t see a problem with the train times… get the Grand Central at 7.30 and your in Kings Cross for 10.30
Mind you getting to Dorking from Kings Cross in an hour and a half would be the real problem.
Use the car.

Now more people are mentioning our crowds and potential.
Probably underachieving on the biggest scale in the club's history.

How Billy I think the penny's finally dropped.

worst thing that could happen is pools turning on the style and seeing performances from players we have not seen the rest of the season no matter if dorking are poor on the day. words of why they didn,t do it before comes quickly to mind.

Wouldn’t surprise me one bit….but too late to matter and a slap in the face for the fans if they did. :angry-tappingfoot:

Agree would be a slap in the face a good performance however would take that if they showed at least they care and make up for the debacle at Gateshead in front of so many expectant poolies. I hope that once the retained list is out that KP will get a couple of early signings giving a notice of intent and will be a better way to improve season ticket sales and in an ideal world that Raj sells the clob.

Suspect the motormouth Dorking manager will have his team of part-timers well up for it for their final game in the NL. Pools wont be arsed to make anything but the minimal effort. Besides, we'll probably discover more injuries from the starting 11 from last Sat. I reckon 3-0 to the Dorks. Match means a lot to them and nowt to Pools despite the travelling support and KP's platitudes.

I don’t even know the guys name but it’s a surprise that he hasn’t been summarily dismissed after blowing the Dork’s once in a lifetime opportunity in the ‘big boys’ (non)-league? Would any Pools manager/head coach survive relegation to the NLN? I think not.

not easy if you have to sack yourself being the owner, first team manager and any other job going at the club. really he has got them even if its for one season into the highest position that club has ever been in. its about expectations where if they had finished 5th bottom it would be classed as success where for pools that would be seen as an absolute disaster.

Don't think there's anyone left to drop out, the only real unknown is how many Academy lads will start the game, 2,3, 4 or 5?

The senior pros left on 2 legs have turned out week after week (usually twice a week) - whatever else their shortcomings, I don't think any of them are shirkers and it's a bit poor to suggest they are.

On the other hand, I won't have any money on Alex Lacey declaring himself fit to play

The away fans terrace is awful.
Each terrace is only an inch higher than the one below, so if you are a shortarse you have to be at the front.
Hope the fans that do go have a good day.

Thanks for the clarification which explains everything - this is an even more incestuous situation than that pertaining at Betty’s Boys FC! Still, Dorking must have something about them as they turned Chesterfield over a few weeks back. Can’t envisage anything better than another tame, end of season 1-1 draw but Pools can surely only improve on the dire display in the corresponding game at the Vic - even taking into account the bare bones of the squad being available.

I don't know about that Mr A-

Killip had a blinder against Stockport last season for an already relegated Pools- and managed to get himself a transfer to Barnsley Stiffs- though he could well have been out of contract anyway.- and stalling on a deal (can't remember)

Still reckon it was that shithouse playing for Stevenage who hid in the net that signalled we were fucked, along with a few other clangers Killip dropped that regularly cost us piss weak goals. In fact on reflection, I reckon we were fucked as soon as he had his hideous man bun lopped off- almost biblical! bbolt

What is it with references to Killip, he was a one wonder save to three bloopers player, the fact Challinor didn’t rate him told me all I needed to know…. He wasn’t even in goal for the play offs…..nope, forget him.
If I have to compare any pundit on here’s opinion against Challoner’s opinion it’s a no brainer against someone actually with no brain.

Not a Killip fan but in all fairness he was injured in the play offs which is why the Boro loanee was in goal for us. It wasnt because Challinor didnt rate him.

you have got to admit though he is a bit repetitious in what he does say. even the chief cook and cup washer has cottoned on to it. mind you it doesn,t matter as his main job isn,t spouting to us lot anyway.

must be the most disinteresting game of the season. no matter what the result is i,m glad its over and even if we did a gateshead on them it will not cover up the other 45 we played. doubt id even go to nearby halifax if we were playing there today.

If we were playing at Halifax Mr Accy, I would hope you would go, as I probably would so we could meet up and you could buy the beer.

There is a chance we could finish as high as 11th with a win today as the 3 teams above us all have difficult games.

Only 4 on bench. Two youths drop out injured. Is the Friday curse now affecting our youths?

Shite first half followed by an equalizer and Phillips knocking one out all summer about how he ‘had words at halftime’ and ‘got a reaction’

You mean like most manager’s would say.
You’d think you didn’t like the bloke..Oops, you never have?

you have got to admit though he is a bit repetitious in what he does say. even the chief cook and cup washer has cottoned on to it. mind you it doesn,t matter as his main job isn,t spouting to us lot anyway.

It’s what they all say, it’s what they for us on the pitch that matters to me, the rest is bollocks…if we’d got Shakespeare in to do it you’d only kick off with your love of the ‘Bard’. bbolt
.I somehow don’t see him with a big quill pen and Thesaurus looking for the words to make his post match comment notes more enlightening.
