The attendance didn't look fake to me, apart from the Rink End all other parts of the ground seemed quite full.

why would they fake it. the biggest shock is the number that did turn up for what looked on paper a real end of season game after a season of more dissapointments. surely it wasn,t to say goodbye to some of our star players.

My daughter was at the game on Saturday, normally in the past the players have stayed on the pitch with their families, she said they just disappeared down the tunnel after the game finished ?

was she upset that they didn,t do a trot of shame round to pitch where some would for sure have heard a few home truths shouted their way.

I asked my daughter, she wasn’t bothered one way or another, she left after the final whistle, in my day the players paraded on the pitch with their families, obviously too embarrassed to do this season.

Surely a ‘shuffle of shame’……

Fake news I'm afraid. I didn't stay after the final whistle as I had to be away up the road, but I had Radio Tees on in the car and Rob Law said that when the players came out with their kids the stands were empty but there were still plenty of fans clustered around the edge of the pitch. Maybe your daughter didn't hang on long enough? It was pretty parky!

Agrree that the whole thing is a pretty strange 'tradition' for clubs that have had an indifferent season, but it's nothing in comparison with 900 fans trailing all the way to Dorking for the fancy dress thing. That's right up there with mass swimming in the North Sea on New Year's Day!

and fans wonder why clubs treat em as fools and idiots when they are prepared to do stuff like that. not one for protests to miss home games but attending away games only give other clubs our money and turning our backs on players who gave us nothing when they go round the pitch would show em how we feel. its a shame for some players who have put a shift in if that happens but they possibly can understand the fans flustrations of why some of their team mates have caused this.
