Assuming (please God) Dixon leaves, I see a lot of people seem to be praising Jameson, he has been decent but if we are serious about promotion I wouldn’t have him anymore than back up.

I know there is a big gap between NL and NLN but Darlington fans seem
To be raving about the young loanee they have from Sunderland, maybe worth a shout next year, if he has the quality I wouldn’t be worried about his age.

Won,t happen though will it. Same as the others.

I wonder if Killip has solved his crossing problem. If he has improved on that i would have him back. That last (ish) game he played in he was brilliant.

It's strange but at set pieces we look a better defensive unit with Dixon in there as he generally comes for everything. With Jameson there seems to be a disconnect with the defence at set pieces and nobody attacks the ball. imo.

Think a loan keeper is the way to go next season. The last 2 we've had (Bilokapic and Stolarczyk) were very good, other teams in our league have had success with them, Gateshead had Mair, Chesterfield have Tyrer, Solihull had Simkin.

Doubt Dixon will be leaving unless he gets a similar offer elsewhere. His record is much better than Jameson's.
Mafzari has done really well at Shildon but it is a big step up from Northern League. Maybe another contract as 3rd choice.
Sunderland goalkeeper, Young, is excellent and clearly has a big future, but then there are some big clubs keen on him and Sunderland like to cash in if they get a good offer. Would be no surprise if he left for a Premiership team. Could see bigger clubs than us being interested in a loan deal as well.
James is doing really well at Spennymoor, had his problems since getting us promoted, so that si another possible.
Otherwise as Gateshead have shown a young Premiership keeper on loan is the best option.

Brad James has been playing out of his skin for Spennymoor lately.
Looks like he's over his injuries.
Not sure what his contract situation is like!
Maybe a deal could be done to become a Poolie.

Surely not. I just supposed he was on loan.

its a gamble though giving out 1 or 2 year contracts. if we had given him 1 year we all know he,d have been brilliant and would have left us for sod all. sometimes the club cannot do right as its fine knocking a player after seeing him but doubt they,d have signed him on any contract if they had a crystal ball.
