That's what the BBC Radio Tees commentator said as well, and Mickey Barron agreed with him.

The millhouse was almost sold out onlibe thats 1500 to 1600 to start with. Crowds arent fiddled nowadays so no longer need to be rammed to reach 4000 crowds

When you’re sat in the Mill House you tend to question the crowds, but you’re sat in the middle of the most crowded part of the ground so it can be deceptive.

Just think over 300 visitors that’s over £6000 not bad.

Not for one moment do I think the crowd was rigged, just thought the announcer put a 4 instead of a 3 by mistake sctatchinghead Anyway which club would inflate the crowd that would be totally stupid.

just why do long term ex league clubs bring more fans to away games than the long term non league clubs do no matter what their position in the league is. surely its not all down to the home gates these clubs get. some have this theory that they support league clubs and only think of there club when their league clubs are away from home and roll up to home games. think poolies and fans of halifax and aldershot types are fans of these clubs for life and not a 2nd club.

It was great when Gary Gibson was in charge.
The ground was packed to the rafters and the tannoy would crackle into life to say "and the crowd tonight is 3321".
The laughter could be heard in Blackhall Rocks

The Garry Gibson Guess - is what I used to call it. I remember playing Stoke at home- (think it was a Sunday lunchtime- circa '92) and they packed out the old Town End terrace like sardines. Think we drew 2-2 and as we were both near the top of the league- home end was packed too. Sure the official crowd was just shy of 4000 when in reality was probably more like 6500 in our 3 sided ground. A couple of coppers behind me were pissing themselves laughing when it was read out, as we were leaving the ground.

rochdale did the opposite as they boosted their gates in fear of being kicked out of the league like workington were with their sub 1,000 gates. spotland was a place you needed a loud haler to talk to the bloke next to you then.

Sounds as if they are counting in the season tickets holders for every home gate. There'll have been a fair few away like me because it was Easter week.
