Ill be on the beach in Sunny Lanzarote for this one (as are some of our players given their recent performances).

So im hoping its a win as ill have to do with a radio for commentary.

Grey and Mani D to impact the game early on and put us 2-0 to the good under what looks to be a very warm saturday afternoon !

but as Pools like to do... we will give away 2 shocking goals and see the game end 2-2

I'm going 1 each
1 up, before dropping a bollock in the last 5 mins

They'll certainly give us a tough game- what with Tommy Widdrington being in charge - the type of player we desperately need in our midfield - Hopefully Sir Ronnie can unearth a couple of uncompromising midfield generals in the summer

Aldershot's form is a bit up and down so it is not beyond possibility we could get a win. On the other hand there is also a strong possibility they could put four past us. I'm pretty sure it wont be 0-0.

According to KP we will have three youngsters in the squad, so it will be interesting watching how that pans out.

Darcy, Storey and Steel on the bench - they deserve their chance.

So is Manni O injured as well? Only Dixon and Cooper on the bench are "senior" players. We are truly on the bones our arse.

Crawford getting walked past way too easy

Stokes going close for the Shots. Have Pools forget to come out of the dressing room for the second half?

five minutes pluss stoppage time. Pools like to concede nice and late to make it as gut wrenching as possible.

Well done lads, minor nitpick be nice to have seen one of young lads come on instead of cooper who won’t be here next year but overall good battling and defending in tough conditions.
Well done Phillips too

Can't blame him for not bringing them on 1-0 with the pressure we were under.

Have to wonder why Jameson wasn't playing all season. His kicking isn't the best but he's lightyears ahead of Dixon as a goalie.

BBC was showing full time but Tees commentary was delayed by at least 5 minutes for some reason, the second half didn’t k.o. till 4.15ish on Tees.

So we just need 1 point or Boreham Wood fail to win one game and we're mathematically safe. :)

i think we are safe already its not just boreham who have to catch us, all the other teams beneath us have to also and surely they some of them must be playing each other somewhere so cant all get maximum points

York have to play Woking and whatever the result of that match means that neither of those teams can catch us.

If York win Woking can’t catch us, if Woking win York can’t catch us and if it is a draw neither side can catch us. Looking at the table it is a case of what might have been. We have squandered so many points this season , from winning positions ,we should have been in the play offs. Ah well there’s always next season

We've been absolutely shite for most of the season but we're only 9 points away from the play off positions. Surely we can improve enough in the summer to get an extra 3 wins at least next season?

To be honest, we simply dont deserve to be in the play offs and would have crashed out if we had somehow scraped in.

Definitely don't deserve to be in play offs, but the gap is not that big considering how poor we've been since the Chesterfield away game.
If we can strengthen the central midfield and add some pace and width it'll be a good start.

Not a vintage performance but we are certainly more dogged(except Gateshead) these days. Lots of good blocks and headers today and they didn't get through on too many occasions. We don't have the players to really press sides so maintaining a good shape is obviously the tactic just now. Parkes was quality again today,MOM for me but the whole back 4 did well. Special mention to Pete Jameson today, a few wayward kicks into the wind aside he had a great game, some vital saves and is a far far better keeper than Dixon in my eyes. Change the midfield, get Dodds back fit and inject some pace then we could be better next season.

Was driving back from an Easter break and got into Radio Tees DAB territory with about 15 minutes left. Was just thinking 'if we concede late there'll be another moanfest on the Bunker' when Parkes scored.

So that's 3 consecutive home clean sheets and 7 points from 9 against teams above us in the league. It's probably 5 points more than I expected after witnessing the capitulation up at Gateshead Stadium. Think it's fair to say now that was out of character - for a team that has nowhere to hide because with all the injuries it virtually picks itself. Nobody is on the beach. Nobody isn't playing for KP.

If Pools can finish the season in the top half of the table and on 60 points or more - which looks more than possible - it will have been a decent effort from all concerned. Sure, there's still a ton of work to be done before Pools look anything like realistic promotion contenders for next season, but fair play to KP and the dozen players who've managed to stay fit!
