I know we all want Pools to sign world beaters from the leagues above and generally we tend to get the odd few former league players whom do well i.e Waterfall and Hendrie etc...

But when playing at this level i always find there is standout players who could walk into this knackered Pools side and i dont mean from the top sort of 7 teams either like you would expect. There is those that seem to do well every season in the likes of McCallum and Cheek but i have seen so many other players id like Pools to take a punt on.

Here for me is a few really good players id think we would have the realistic possibilty of approaching an signing. Over to you Ronnie lets get some NL gems signed up ! (given i know some of these will be on the radar of League clubs and some may have 2 year contracts already written up and may cost more than we think)...

1. Chris Conn Clarke - Altringham (Although can see him moving to league above)
2 Nick Haughton - Fylde (Although can see him moving to league above)
3. Zak Brown - Kiddy
4. Ricky Korboa - Woking (Although can see him moving to league above)
5. Reiss Mcnally - Kiddy
6. Theo Widdrington (yes son of Tommy)
7. Luke Summerfield - Halifax
8. Cian Hayes - Halifax
9. Danny Ormerod - Fylde
10. Billy Chadwick - York
11. Ben Chapman - Ebbsfleet
12. Louis Storey - Gateshead
13. Tavares - Dag & Red
14. Corey Whitely - Bromley (Although can see him moving to league above)
15. Alfie Rutherford - Dorking

There is more but ive forgot them - sure there was 2 more CMs id liked the look of but sure they where loanee from way higher up.

also Gateshead entire midfield and 2 forwards id have the lot ! very very good players albeit some are on loan.

anymore feel free to add... Ronnie hope your reading as the Bunker will help your scouting out haha

Paul Blackett from South Shields would be a good shout.

Liam Mandeville from Chesterfield is quality - not sure he's up to football league standard, week in, week out (bit like Holohan) - but decent at this level

Tshimanga from Boringwood got to be worth a punt if they get relegated and Josh leaves

Also got to be a couple of Heed players we could poach!

Cian Hayes is on loan from Fleetwood to Rochdale I believe.
Plenty good players at our level, I'd love to have Nick Haughton, Joe Sbarra & Jamey Osbourne from Solihull in our midfield.
Only problem with tshimanga is is recent injury record hence why he's back on loan to boreham wood.
Blackett has had a great season, got to be worth a punt

Yeh Mandeville is a great performer at this level but i think he will finally get a good crack at L2 with Chesterfield. Cant see him moving on.

didnt realise he was a local lad either - no doubt we may get him on loan when hes 38 and crocked to bits !

Yeh Joe Sbarra is a quality player and another i can see making a league club starting 11.

Blackett surely has done enough to warrant a move further up the leagues now - sure KP is well aware of him etc. Just seen it too many times before have we not ? Think he has enough though for this level. Seems a good age - fit and strong and knows there net is !

not exactly a NL player but an ex one from solihull. lad called hudlin at huddersfield who is about 6ft 8inch and has scored zero goals with them and out on loan at league clubs. cannot see them keeping him but what a strike force if him and mani d formed a good partnership. even our wayward crosses might find him.

haughton is at least 30 years old and never seems to do a full 90 minutes for fylde. tsimanga recieved a bad injury that he does not seem to have fully recoved from. hope we have learned from the past about players fitness records.

Another raid on Halifax is looming - sure Mani will have a few recommendations.

Halifax impressed me tbh - that Hayes etc all good players. They utilised their best players well. Wouldnt turn any of their good lads away thats for sure.

Nothing wrong with adding 30 years old into sides - some of these lads have better legs than the younger lads. Propa seasoned pros with good fitness levels is what we need too - good mix

yes but we need the ideal 30 plus year olds as many never complete games or only used as a sub depending on how the game is panning out. doubt we ,ll be having a luxury of a massive squad next season and recruitment must be based around this. I always look at promoted teams players and relegated teams ones. Some of the former will be seen as not up to the standard the following season and the latter will have one or two decent lad among the dross just like we have.

Luke Chaman at Fylde not the best player but put a shift in and was a massive nuisance
Sbarra from Solihull and teh defender from Bromley who scored the own goal both v good--but likely out of our budget

That lad who scored the own goal for Bromley was a kid on loan from Charlton

Was a cut above I thought--doubtful with geography we would get him, unless they want to send him further afield for his off the pitch development
