0-2 win JG & ManiD. I reckon if we score first we will dominate Rochdale who despite some saying play good football etc I have watched them 6 or 7 times and not been that impressed. After the horror show at Heed I can see the players being right up for this game. I also expect Rochdale to just through the motions with nowt to play for. If it goes according to my prediction I can see us finishing the season on a good run with no more defeats.

I would like to see a bit of playing with freedom and if we score go and try to get another one, instead of retreating as usual. Hoping for an entertaining game and a Pools win of course.

Rochdale are playing in an all yellow strip so why has the ref allowed the Pools goalkeeper to also wear yellow?

Rochdale will try and snatch a quick goal straight after the break then park the bus.

Listening to the commentary it sounds like they are with Mani isolated upfront.

Seems to be how we always play. Mani left to deal with the entire opposing defence by himself.

Good Result.
But anutha game that confirms Fevs n Cooky need binning.
Only thing stopping it would be a very poor budget.

When Gray scores the first goal we never seem to win. Even against 10 men.

It’s beyond parody now, can’t wait for the post match ‘that’s football’ ‘we’ll take out learnings’ ‘this won’t define us’

Last 3 games
An epic 7-1 humiliation
A scrapping quality devoid 1-0 win
And a 1-1 draw against 10 men

Somehow it will be spun as a great recovery but fact is we are going nowhere

Lads has the penny dropped on cliche man yet ?

As soon as we score it’s everybody back, he wants to play with wide men but has no clue how to do that without making Mani D completely isolated.

What has anyone possibly seen since he took over in recruitment or consistent performances that suggests he is capable of delivering a promotion side next year no matter what the budget

Laughable. Please can Pools' season just end now? The lack of anything on the bench to freshen things up is killing.

Well done Devante Rodney - ran himself daft for nearly an hour as lone striker for the 10 men and still had the legs to finish at the death.

We really have nobody who can hold the ball up in the other teams half, gift the ball away time and time again, Cooper back heels the ball to nobody and they score from the resultant punt up front, clueless.

Free points apply Hartlepool United FC , no charges, free delivery, no returns, postage and packing paid.

Woking last minute equaliser. Eastleigh, last minute equalizer. We just dont seem to learn.

Still need three more points to be mathematically safe.

That's just unforgivable, we get the man advantage and just slowly stroll about the pitch passing from side to side and still create very little. We must be a dream to play against if you go down to ten men. Some players just continue to make ridiculous decisions on the pitch and it's Cooper's turn today, WTF was he thinking or hoping to achieve by that! Either hold it up or put it in the stand. Then getting caught out like that from one long ball is ridiculous. I honestly cannot wait for this season to end and hopefully get rid of some of these losers and their loser mentalities.

Everyone knocking one out over Waterfall and Parkes but not sure we need both of them, one of them with Mani O who has more pace maybe a better option

At end of day though midfield is our biggest weakeness and needs a complete overhaul

Fair play to the Dale keeper as he definitely kept them in it but once again we managed to gift a goal at the death to throw away two points.
A blind man could see it coming.
One goal is very rarely got us a win this season, I think it has happened twice but we never learn.
A hopeful punt over the top and three players and the goalie, who all converged on the ball at the same time, couldn't combine to stop Rodney. Schoolboy errors.
If KP does get next season out of the job then he has got to get this "one goal is enough" out of his head.
Second half we should have ran them ragged, especially on what looked like a heavy pitch but our slow pedantic and laborious build up led to our downfall........again. Another two points lost.
I know I should be happy with an away point but not happy after watching that performance.
A lot of work has to be done to fashion a side worthy of the title "promotion contenders" for next season in my humble opinion.

We don’t have any defined pattern of play, and we don’t have anyone able to coach us to get one, Phillips shows no sign of real philosophy and nothing against Sweeney but he is just part of the furniture it seems

Rochdale at least you can see how they want to play

If we get Mancini and dodds fit then there is great potential there for them linking up with grey and mani D and having a decent footballing side (good players make others better) obviously that needs luck injury wise and someone able to implement it

Right now it’s just ponderous cross field balls with no penetration unless Grey decides to take a run at players himself

Sadly things will get worse under Singh the merciless MUCH WORS.

The budget will be reduced by 40% for next season.

100% true watch it all pan out over the summer.

Any assets will be sold and go in Singh’s pocket.

Back to the bad old days of side to side and backwards passing in our own half ...even against ten men.
Looked like a friendly when we should have had them run ragged in their own half.
Had easily enough chances to win and their keeper had a good game.
But Cooke tamely passing to their keeper for our best chance second half was just pathetic.
As was the backheel from Cooper gifting possession leading to their goal right at the death.
Too many of this lot just need to go.
It's that simple.

No his tactics look very suspect to me, I don't see a style of play being implemented at all, unless this is his style! Things will never change with so many constants still involved at the club.

Mr Porter and Boyd-

We're still waiting on an update on the takeover you promised us, you knew all about, a few moons ago

Take it, it was a load of horseshit after all and actually you know, no more in than anybody else on here.

Or are you still in high level negotiations with the Hollywood Glitterarty? sctatchinghead

I have no idea who else, along with you, thinks his tactics are dreadful. I have never said that, so you're asking the wrong person.
I'm saying I don't agree with the particular tactic of sitting on a one goal lead.
However if he chooses to keep doing it then that's up to him. He's the one who ultimately takes the responsibility but I think you already know that.

Usual crap, even against a poor team with 10 men,who were there for the taking,we show no urgency, just the usual lazy sideways /backwards passing.
No one with balls in midfield to take the game by the scruff of the neck & drive us forward.
Fair play to Rochdale, the time they had the bal, they went forward with a bit of purpose & got there just rewards.

I will add KP does seem to realise this team lacks pace and needs an overhaul in the summer so hopefully he addresses these problems in the summer and clears the deadwood. The players we have probably can't play the way he wants.

It seems like we are stretching it out and limping towards the finishing line. Expect Dorking will fight for their lives on that final day. Feels like we lost today.
