The season will be over!

Can't remember the last time the season finished so early- before the cricket season.
To think the year we won the playoffs we didn't finish the season until the 21st June - (obviously COVID related) 2 whole months longer than this season.

At least there can be no excuses in terms of preparation/ fitness for next season. Hartleys disasters gone with the rest of the deadwood shipped out too hopefully. Got to hope we can hold onto ManiD. Desperate for a midfield general in the Willie Boland/ Tommy Widdrington mould and a decent winger (maybe Otis) as well as greater strength in depth.

The league next season, looking at who might come down/ go up should be relatively wide open - Think only Sarfend and Oldham at present could potentially mount a sustained challenge.- Why not us? sctatchinghead rolf

Suspect Otis is a sick note. I wait to be proved wrong.

one thing to avoid is players with a bad injury record no matter how good they are. mr.average who is available for most games before one who might play in double figures across the season. surely we have learned by now.

What excuse is their for signing supposedly great players who are just sick notes when their history can be easily checked out, let’s have no more chance taking.
Forget the scatter gun collection of players and concentrate on buying less players of quality to form the spine of the team.
I don’t mind taking a chance with lower league players, other club’s do, but the core must be quality.

Unless you up your budget, there are always chances being taken. If its not taking a chance on a players injury record it'll be something else such as they're unproven or inexperienced or from a lower division or have had poor form or a potential hot-head. Players on which you are taking less chances cost more money.

Again lower league players are a gamble. We can all reel off a list of failures in that regard.

a minimum of 18 of our own players all of a similar standard who have to fight for a starting place who barring suspension are always available for selection would be a start. add the odd loan player into it but only after somebody has watched them at least a couple of times. feel some of ours have not been before they come up.

All the parking charges that us who live on the outskirts of Hartlepool have been paying for years when we come into town that the townies now have to pay when they come to the outskirts I suppose.

Hope Raj has learned the lesson that pushing the boat out in the summer is the best way to avoid panic signings later on in the season. That said, there's nothing wrong with spreading the net to include players from lower divisions if they're the right players. The likes of Barrow and Gateshead get it right so it's about time we did too.

There's plenty of little streets around the Vic that aren't Residents Only if you don't mind a 10 minute walk.

Although I don’t use it (too tight) why has the waste land between the ground and Middleton road been closed off. Although you had to pay it was well used.

That’s the point I am making, no play offs, no extended season, players contracts don’t end usually till the then of June/July. Hastie and co will be still be on the books Pools paying their wages, no new signings as any potential signings will be seeing their contracts out.

Why don’t we have a close season on the Bunker like the players do that would ensure no politics would be discussed.

A wonderful dream but sadly it is only a dream. Labour will get in and they will be the same as the Tories.

Just out of interest I checked out the starting 11 for the teams lying 2nd to 7th after yesterday's results and surprisingly none of those teams are made up of lots of proven efl level players. So I would imagine their budgets are not huge, but they've obviously unearthed some talent, coached and managed well to get results. Although money talks, it would seem it doesn't always have the last word.

I reckon there are various factors starting with a strong manager. Team identity and togetherness gets you a long way. Unfortunately though when it comes to promotion money is the biggest factor 9 times out of 10. Raj will need to lump in, will need big season ticket sales and be on it commercially. Do all that and no reason we can’t be competitive but there are a few ifs there.

No Mr Jamie.
Its not YOU being ridiculed
Its your Thatcher /Brexit/Tory hating and Leftie loving politics that are being ridiculed.
And deservedly so imo
Mind you ...you really do go on a bit mate.(Steelworks)
And isn't that "going on a bit" what led to your ban on another forum?
Then you moved to Toyboy Thailand then reemerged on here.
About the time Glitter was being arrested out there?
Whatever...

P.S
Vote for real change,,,vote for Reform.
Stop the boats by turning them around and escorting them back to frogland from whence they came.
Reinvest the millions we are spending on these economic migrants in the NHS, and looking after older people and Armed Services veterans and others who have more than paid their dues.
Stop migrants....
free housing
free food
free education
free health care
free welfare benefits
free policing of their criminality
free funding of their of legal advisers etc etc

Sorry.. going on a bit so will stop there... but you get the message

Forgot to add.
The club reads this board so ya just encourageing it to exist without Ambition.
Like to think I've encouraged a few on here out of your mantra. So there's still a bit of hope for a conversation of better times.

Bunker ain't a popularity show.
All views are different.
It's never personal for having different views.
We still breathe the same air n talk shite now n again.
Unlike politicians who permanently talk shite.

You've forgotten the deluded Raj apologists. If you are celebrating our differences then you've got to be inclusive.

the thing is we can do naff all about him but knocking the bloke constantly will not make him leave or look down the back of the sofa for extra cash to spend on the team.

All the absolute crap written about Darlo.
All the abuse he has had on here and elsewhere, at times verging on accusations of criminality..e.g"white collar burglary"
All the morons chanting for him to F/O at games, painting walls and throwing tennis balls.
All his family getting roped into it too.
All after what he did single handedly in saving the club from total oblivion and then propping it up for 6 years on his todd.
Tbh I would have gone long ago one way or another.
And this bloke is still standin....amazing really

We Gunna put a late surge together and turn England back into England.

They is no freedom of choice Kevin, you/we are all guided along a pathway of THEIR Choice.
Now on the other hand if we could vote for specific people to do a specific job, Then we would have freedom of choice.

I play in a band. We'll rehearse at my place. You'll blink first.

Let it go? Well, when he's gone I might.

Always depending on who takes over of course.
It's not the band of hope, I hope (no pun intended)
