Noticed our old manager doing a great job at spenny 22 points out of the last 8 games, might sneak in the play offs if they keep that up.

Good club Spenny - well ran, bit of cash. Dont think they would last 10 minutes in the NL tbh but Spike is having a wonderful little new manager bounce thats for sure !

He's been in charge for 15 games now - think it's already becoming more than a 'little new manager bounce.'

oh hell where has that gone - was still thinking he was like 6/7 games in.
even more credit to him then. He has some good lads for that level and that striker too who seems to always top the charts in their league.
very surprised someone up the table hasnt took a punt on him

Spenny haven't got the cash to splash that they used to have, Chairman's businesses not doing well at all.
The striker you refer to is Glenn Taylor who has a fantastic record at their level but also has a good job outside of football and my understanding is that he has had offers from bigger clubs but doesn't want to give up his day job.
It would be good if they scraped promotion as its an easy to get to game rather than another commute to the South.
South Shields have had a bit of a resurgence too lately.

Taylor hasn't played for a long time - this on his coming on as sub on Saturday

The game was effectively over as contest after that, though Moors fans did have further reason to cheer when Taylor came off the bench on 76 minutes to mark his return following knee surgery – a worrying sight for National League North defences ahead of the run-in.

Probably Ndjoli was taken partly to cover this but he seems to be injured now as well.

In February they signed Brad James as their new goalkeeper, of Bristol fame, which may be a help to their recent showings.

They also have Harris and Ramshaw that have been a mainstay of the club along with Taylor for a few years.

Big step to our league, Dolan there running the midfield now as well, slowly though!

As for getting in if they do get promoted, there might be a fight for tickets, sure we would soon sell out.

Doubt they'll go up, they were lucky to beat us last week. I reckon it will be Scunny who win the play offs, I know we beat them the other week but they'll go up still.
You'll just love the away end at Tamworth, one of those where you cant even see the goal line closest to you.

As good as Spike Lee has been at Spenny so far this season, there's no bigger turn around than the job Steve Watson has done for your lot.

possibly everyone is cozy and happy at that level from the tea lady upwards. if pools stay in this league for another 5 seasons we,ll probebly feel the same about the NL.

Good luck to both Spennymoor n S Shields for the rest of the season.
Either of them would be a decent new Derbie next season.
UTP.
And we'll done to Darlo who looked dead n buried 2 months ago.
Reckon you stay up now LS.

Spike will do well at Spennymoor and I hope he continues to have a good career in management because he seems to be such a humble fella but I’ll never forget how poor Pools were after the Rotherham semi final defeat. The home games against Port Vale, Salford, Swindon and Colchester will live long in the memory for all of the wrong reasons. Baffles me when you get the Boro mob criticising Pools for sacking him. Completely the right decision, unfortunately the appointment of his successor (or not so success-or) was the wrong decision which ultimately lead to the demise of our Football League status.

He’s found his level.

if he had lost a few league games at the start of his time with us, picked up at the end still to finish in the same league position i think we,d have missed out on our biggest disaster since the germans bombed the vic. The appointment of his replacement.
