Nothing showing on the club's website, but according to the National League transfers site, he's gone back to Colchester " end of loan ." Anyone on here can confirm ?

That would be out of the blue as he gave an interview On Radio Tees saying how he was enjoying his time at Pools. If he has suddenly gone back maybe Colchester are having an injury crisis.

Some work out others don't regardless of where they're from, we had that Fletcher kid from Boro last season and he was a complete dud, we also had Kemp from MK Dons and he was a class act.

You take a chance, otherwise we’d never sign anyone unless they had a guarantee covered by Lloyd’s of London to compensate the club if they didn’t perform up to expectations or the standard of the terrace tacticians.
Like I said, you take a chance.

I'm not sure where we're expected to loan players from, we're NL so clubs might want their better players to go to league clubs a d players themselves might not feel NL is their level. Plus I'd hazard a guess that our budget has been blown for the season already.

Sorry to be boring but if you get 2/3 success 5 free/loan signings you are doing well.

But some things are more of a chance than others--pull in players who cant get their game for seriously shite teams probably has less of a chance of success than signings from better teams (though they are more expensive)

That's why White from high flying Newcastle and Fletcher from Championship Boro were so good eh? Yet Kemp from little MK Don's almost did enough to keep us up? The keeper from Cove try was also good last season.
Every signing is a huge gamble and loanees even more so, at least loanees are not a long term problem.
Regardless of when the deals were done or who was involved we've brought in 2 CBs who were getting a game at higher levels than NL and they're both permanent signings. Surely a basis to build on with a manager in place taking us into the close season and the opportunity to throw out the dross and build a better squad.

like waterfall from grimsby who are in a similar league position as they are. i,d guess now there would be one player at oxford city who would do a good job for us next year.

White getting his first team game time under Mr Howe - didnt think he was ready when he played for us so he must have come on a hell of a lot !

Stol was also in goal for Leicester yesterday and is doing really well for them - Robert Huth did tip him for 1st team football after he had been to us as i was impressed with that loan signing.

Our level and budget does unfortunately lead us to getting young lads on the loan transfer list just wanting a kick. Not all are going to be able to handle the mens game. Some are also sent out as their parent club know they will be out the door soon and gives them a chance to be in the shop window. Seems a few times we have ended up with those players too.

I just hope next season we loan more senior type players looking for game time or their face in the shop window. Likes of Dickenson and Kahn.

Yep, he came on for the Mags in the cup tie against Man City.

Thought Agyemang did alright when he came on for Lacey on Saturday. I imagine he'll get a few chances in the 5 game run that starts with D&R.

Think Agyemang just needs to find his position - last time here i said the same thing. Didnt really impress as a CAM - was lost on the RW side of things but kind of has that pace and strength with good feet to probs be a good RWB

I'd be happier with a smaller squad but better quality, to accommodate that we might need a few who can play in a couple of positions, Agyemang maybe one of them. The final run in should tell us more as I'm sure he won't be anywhere near Boros 1st team.

hopefully thats the way KP wants it too - but its when that quality becomes injured (Mancini / Dodds) that you then have to hopefully have just as good on the bench. Or you revert to what we are doing again now and bringing in kids to cover positions.

actually i thought we had a quality squad in the first few games before dodds and mancini got crocked. problem was everything seemed to had been spent on that with zero back up. for some unknown reason nearly every club now has a long injury list and our squad should be chosen with that in mind.

On paper the squad looked decent but the games played on grass. We have too many who play week in week out regardless because there's a no strength on depth.
I think someone said we've used 40 odd players this season which to me doesn't imply lack of funding more like wasting lots of money.

yeh we did and taking 2 players out of the equation absolutely buggered us beyond belief ! Feaths wasnt even in the side either and tbh hes been a great addition back in the squad this season, consistent and for me even a few MOM performances ! madness to think how good this team could be !

yeh deffo wasted alot of cash thats for sure ! having Hastie and Paterson still on the books too isnt helping

To be fair him,he looked decent when he came on against Borehamwood, but he was in central midfield, his best position.
Since then,he’s been shoved out wide & has been lost.
The same happened with Tom White, played well as CM,but then was shoved out wide & wasn’t the same player.

Can’t remember Tom White ever playing out wide for Pools.
