Does anyone know if you can buy cod roe in the town? do hodgsons stock it? I know it's a seasonal delicacy though I have a feeling it's currently in season. I can feel it in me waters.

Haven't had any for ages but I love the stuff. All I've been able to get is the pressed stuff in a tin which is a pale imitation, with all sorts added to it. It's alright, like.

But I'm crying out for some fresh juice cod roe. Can anyone help us out?

I can get battered cod every day of the week, but I want the eggs! it's gorgeous.

getting a bit pricey now cod isn't it. I suspect the roe is equally expensive. They've started farming it like they do with salmon so hopefully the price should come down a bit in a few years.

thanks for that. the first one looks good. I may phone them up and get some cod roe delivered to me door.

be much easier and cheaper if a fishmonger in the region stocked it, like. there must be one?
