Pools 11th - Maidenhead 16th

What do we think then ?

they previously ran out 4-2 winners at Home to Dorking. Previous 3 before that sees them with L W L

Has our break cured any injuries and niggles - is there any new faces among the bunch ?

Will Mancini be on the bench ? Is Kahn looking closer to recovery ?

Interesting the OS and socials of the club have put some pics out and doesnt seem to be a Mancini or Kahn amongst the team huddle photo ? Although there was a player i didnt recognise with his back to the camera in one shot ... Dark - Short black Hair .... reminded me of ZFA from the hair style. Cannot think who it can be... Agyemang has long hair and was present to the right of the photo too. Any ideas anyone ? Didnt look the same build as the new RB from Derby either

aww forgot to add my prediction...

Think we will see a tough game.. hopefully conditions are not absolutely dire either.

but im going with a draw. 1-1 hard fought with us getting a late Mani D leveller !

There is You Tube Interview with KP that answers some of your questions. Mancini not ready, Umerah likewise, Khan still not back in training. Parkes out because of concussion protocol. Waterfall back in contention as is Crawford after his two game ban. No mention of any new players. Maidenhead prediction: going for another 2-1 loss.

Okay cheers yeh just seen it !

Nightmare Mancini is having thats for sure - looks as though we rushed him back too soon !

My prediction for him not kicking another ball for us this season is holding strong !

Umerah also be the same but not too assed about him

and finally i wonder if we see Kahn again in a Pools kit - 7 left to go after tomorrow

Presume the bloke you don't recognise is Kwaku, brought in because Stephenson can't be played too much as he is young!

On the subject of the Maidenhead game, who should partner Waterfall in central defence? Should it be Manni O or Lacey? After that stupid free kick Manni O gave away that lead to Barnet's second goal there is a case for him being benched but wondering what others think?

So a player makes a stupid mistake you drop him? We’d make six changes a week at that rate.

I would play both Lacey and ManiO alongside Waterfall. I go for a 3-1 win 2 for ManiD 1 for JG.

I did not say I would drop him, I said there was a case for him being benched (sub, not dropped altogether) I just wondered what other people's opinions were. In the past people have posted negative opinions on both Manni O and Lacey so I thought it would be interesting to spark a debate, after all, isnt that one of the reasons for the existence of forums like this? You have made your opinion very clear. In the past people made catastrophic errors but could not be dropped because no one else was available but in the current situation an alternative is available.

Sounds very solid if they communicate and are all at their best.

Only 6 points above bottom 4 so not the time to mess around. Two more wins should see safety achieved.

Watched the highlights of Maidenhead vs Dorking, Maidenhead had two very quick players, Mitchell-Lawson and Abrahams who both ran through the Dorking side to finish clinically - just the type of players that we don’t possess but always do well against our static midfield/defence. I’m hoping for a draw but fear another defeat 1-3.

It was a stupid and unnecessary foul but the resulting goal direct from the free kick wasn’t a gimme - Dixon should have done better. There were no more goals so Manny O and Lacey can both take some credit for that. I agree a back 3 with them two and Waterfall is probably the way to go.

According to the Dorking managers post match ‘chat’…. his problem was his midfield had a collective collapse, in fact apart from two named players who performed , the midfield in particular and the rest of the team were utter shite.

honestly i would not bet on a single side below chesterfield in what a result any of them will get no matter who they play. every side is so irratic like we are and no result is a shock one anymore.

It didnt look like him, this lad was more stocky looking and his hair was different to Kwaku.

anyways id probs shut the back door and put lacey and Mani in there aswell as others have said.

those 2 pacey players they have will cause us bother - plus im sure they have a ball winning CM aswell who will give Cooke and Feaths a hard time. Crawford needs to be on his 'A' game tonight having some time off !

I feel this is a turning point game this season. Win and i think we will have a entertaining run in but if we lose then the season is finished.
Statistically not accurate but thats how i feel.

This could well work in our favour - but lets say we have a few games we need to tie up come end of the season and they are must must win games then i hope we dont feel the pressure an bottle it ! was looking forwards to this but, blessing for the lads with the travel an another week of getting it right on the pitch - plus Parkes will be back come the weekend too and possibly Mancini going off the latest BBC thing

There go my plans for this evening. This match is the one closest to my work office so I will have to come in twice this year now. Nearest alternate game is Wycombe but their ground is a pita to get to. Oh well, roll on the reschedule...

Wealdstone postponed again. Their ground must be built over a swamp!

Some teams will have played 39 by tonight - they're still stuck on 34. They'll be playing 2 games a week every week in April - assuming some dry weather.

In tonight's footy Euan Murray scores for Raith then Rolling Menayese scores for Walsall. Also Jake Cooper scores for Altrincham, that's 3 former centre halfs of ours...

Armstrong scored for Carlisle but he’ll be back in League 2 next season - the sheep shaggers are doomed.

The shaggers have been doomed for months - not sure how manager Paul Simpson has survived this long, especially with the club under new management. You would think having signed Armstrong and a couple of others they would see retention of the clubs L1 status to be imperative. They don’t appear to be overly concerned that relegation is effectively nailed on and has been for some time.

Pity they didn’t do that when they were here, or the ‘ex’ wouldn’t have preceded the word player.

doubt they are the first club who really were not up to being promoted and missing out of it might have been a blessing in disguise. just wonder how sheffield united fans are enjoying the premier league by losing every week to last season when they saw their team win regularly.
