What really worries me is Woking looked total crap yet won 0-2. If we don't bring in at least 3/4 decent experienced players soon I fear we will lose any bit of confidence left & all momentum and struggle to finish mid table plus crowds will dwindle. Askey is a good mechanic but cannot repair a car with only a spanner. With respect Raj buy the man the tools required unless you know he is Jesus the miracle worker. sctatchinghead

Could maybe test the theory by providing Askey with some fish, a few loaves and a bottle of Evian - then we'll know!

If Woking looked crap, what did that make us look like? Panic stations, not the first and not the last game we'll lose. Yes some teams we play are going to be crapper than us and we'll lose, then some teams will play better than us and we'll beat them, like Wealdstone and Southend.

It's called football, it's a funny old game.

How many points and goals did we score in our first ever season in the National League after 9 games? How many points and goal it we have last season after 9 games?

top post is that. why on many other subjects do people on here use common sense but when it comes to football all rhyme and reason flys out of the window.

Honestly, I think the heart rules the head to much and a lot of fans only live for 15:00 Saturday afternoon or 19:45 Tuesday nights.
I personally see it as entertainment and happy if we win, a bit sad if we lose. However I would never shed a tear for lossing a game.
Good song quote, "Always look on the bright side of life"
I mean, what have you got to lose?
You know, you come from nothing
You're going back to nothing
What have you lost? Nothing

Or
Some of us got to live as well, you know
(Always look on the right side of life)
Who do you think pays for all this rubbish
(Always look on the right side of life)
They're not gonna make their money back, you know
I told them, I said to him, Bernie, I said they'll never make their money back
(Always look on the right side of life)

Spot on woking were average nowt great not terrible, but look how easy they won that, a 5 minute spell and thats all it took. Before long the inevitable will happen fans will turn on the wrong man once again. Conceding 2 goals a game is only going to end one way. This team can be transformed with two half decent defenders and a midfielder.

another defensive midfielder in the squad is a must as well as two central defenders to cover for many o and the luckless lacey or pushing both for a starting slot in the team.

We have a defence midfielder, Matty Dolan, where ever he's at. Earning a wage for living back home.

How anyone can call Woking crap baffles me but yes we all can have an opinion. What impressed me was their three giant central defenders any one of whom would be welcomed by us and guess what they have signed Odusina as backup. Like someone has posted we are desperate for a McPhail, Smith, Collins type of experienced, no nonsense, centre half yet rumours have it we are after a kid from Sunderland. If true I hope he comes off but doesn’t fill me with confidence.

Even Woking fans are bewildered by the score line. They say exactly what we all knew that they got 2 goals out of nothing and did not play well. Some say it's great to beat Hartlepool and get 3 points when not yet playing anywhere near there potential.

As the Queen is quoted as saying recollections may vary well opinions also do. Not saying they were a great team but crap is going over the top. As you say their supporters said they didn’t play well but if you go away and win 2 - 0 I’d be over the moon. I’ll be satisfied with that tomorrow night at Altringham.

All ifs and buts.

If Manny D had scored (and should have) or Gray had (and should have)
And Crawford had (and should have) you could end up with a totally different ending.

Just a thought also, Finney seems to be getting some stick.
Yet it was he who set up Manny and Crawford. Just a thought.

For some people, watching Pools is like walking through a minefield with a map, despite which they hold the map up anyway but the right way and plough on, with inevitable results.

more likely pools will play well but get defeated. when was the last time we played away and got away with murder, robbery with a smash and grab helped by a referee doing his upmost not to be a homer.

Woking have only won one of the last 5 games and that was against us due to two crazy goals. I stand firmly that Woking are crap.

Very true Ozzy it was a bad performance that's why we are in the National league and not the Champions League. They got two very lucky crazy goals and if we had scored instead of hitting the post I reckon we would have got the win but that's football.

Following their surprise playoff finish last season, Sarll was given the biggest ever budget at Woking to improve their squad. The outcome was a reasonable start and then a disastrous run of results (including injuries to key players). Sarll seemed unable to motivate the players or they did not comply with what he was telling them to do. All this sounds very familiar to us and ended with the departure of the manager. A key difference is that the Chairman and Owner are not trying to extricate themselves from funding but it is not a bottomless pit. Timi was excellent when he joined but seemed to follow the general trend downwards. Living in Woking, it would be really great to get a win here next month. I don’t think Sarll is the answer and he’s likely too Southern based to consider the job.

Actually, the number of people moving up here from the London area is surprising.
I speak to two of a morning when walking the dogs at Seaton and especially the Headland.

Well very surprised that Woking came back to beat Kiddy. Still crap but I want Phil Brown Nose to fail at Kiddy and get relegated much more than I want a observation to come true. It looks really bad for York let's hope they go down with Kidderminster otherwise they will be a big problem next season. sctatchinghead

Where one of my lads works in town he always mentions the number of customers moving up to get away from London…..the house prices are a big draw as is the life style because they say London ain’t London anymore..
Must admit I loved London in the 80’s and 90’s, but it’s 10 years since I last visited on holiday and have no desire to return sadly.

had an uncle who lived down there in the sudbury that was near to wembley. it was always an adventure going down there as it was so different to my daily life. as you say it aint that type of london anymore, and if you go to places around gt.yarmouth you,ll here as many london accents as norfolk ones. when you ask em why they have moved i never heard the cost of living coming into it as immegrants were the main reason. since then its got worse for them in the last 14 years since i lived there and can see it getting worse.

Ive worked and frequented there many a times (back there tomorrow actually) and there is now areas and Pubs i cant even walk into or near anymore. The crime and under age violence going on in that hell hole is absolutely obscene. The national news doesnt hear the half of what really goes on. The daily local news no lie would report a stabbing a night ! gangland culture has only gotten worse down there.
Alot of people i know moving up here (genuine ones) came up for their kids or like you say to have better quality of life etc and actually go to the seaside and rural nice areas we have in North Yorkshire and lakes !

But yeh Woking are pants ! points again lost for us !

I think York next season will do what Barnet have done and come out of no where and top the table. Barnet nearly got relegated i think was it last season now look at them. York have the money it seems but keep buying or loaning rubbish. Glad we never got involved with that Uggla family now

also be interesting to see if Rochdale do a Wrexham ?

like improve their ground to make it an international venue. Just thing of it, England v Germany, venue Spotland. The total opposite of sexy football you can think of. no rochdale will be always be rochdale for me and become a non league fixture like pools might end up being alonside of darlo and halifax.

What is being described here is a situation where Londoners are being forced out of their ancestral homes by a regime that is pandering to diversity, aided and abetted by the Mayor. London has been taken over, So what is next???? Next is the take over of the Country. People are screaming for change and are visibly turning to Labour. Is Starmer the answer??? Will he be able to arrest the momentum started in London from spreading everywhere else??? Big questions. I hope to God he can step up to the plate but I have serious doubts.

Hartlepool is riddled with Africans.
Just part of the takeover. They can't all stay in Dover.

Serious doubts???
Maybe listen a bit to what the bloke has actually said on the issue?
Starmer argued for a second referendum on Brexit, and believes in open borders and freedom movement and has said it a million times.

“We welcome migrants. We don't scapegoat them. Low wages, poor housing, poor public services are not the fault of migrants and people who've come here: they're political failure. Political failure. So we have to make the case for the benefits of migration, the benefits of free movement.”
“We have to make the case for Freedom of Movement. And we have to make it strongly.”

As our world collapses around us under tubby Starmer, al least we’ll get a laugh, then reality will set in….mind you, I’ve yet to hear a policy defined.

You wont hear anything defined till after the election.
Meanwhile a picture can sometimes say a thousand words.
Until then...

Check the table out i think york may be going down, We are 8 Pts ahead of them and 6 from the drop ourselves.

York are just about relegated if you look at these remaining fixtures:
Kidderminster away
Altrincham away
Aldershot home
Bromley away
Chesterfield home
Halifax away
Eastleigh home
Woking home
Solihull away

Bye bye Mr Money bags.

It’s not how much money you spend, it’s what you spend it on.
Ever get the feeling the owner would like to be the manager.
Never a good idea…you never expect the pilot flying the plane to take advice about flying from the Chairman of the airline.

Not just how you spend the money either. Time is a factor too, overnight success is very rare after a takeover in football.

the ones who sit back and employ good people in different positions are the ones who will succeed. just sign the cheques, but some of em do not like others playing with their new toy.
