2-2. Lot of "mature" players for Pools who not at their best when games close together. If game was on Saturday and Pools had a week to prepare I would be more confident. Fingers crossed as always.

2-1 it came to me on the night…Ratboy got me up twice and Ruby once…it’s a sign…as Ratboy came up first I classed him as the home team.
The appliance of science..

Sounds as sane as any other predictions, I'll go for a 2..2 hope I'm wrong and we win.

As an aside, I'm actually looking forward to going to the game, I have manged to get to 3 games all season including Saturday gone.. first night match this season. UTP.

Conn Clarke starts on the bench for them along with 3 of their other starting forwards. Let’s see how this plays out

Pleased and surprised to hear that Conn - Clarke is on the bench. He is a very good and dangerous player so very with that news.

A lot of Alty fans not happy with the starting eleven. And some think the team selection is bazaar.

Up to now Altrincham just look a better team. Faster, sharper etc. 1-0 to them is about right.

What a really poor first half from pools, we look like the away side hoping for a point

Hopefully we will come out like we started at Bromley and play fast passing football and take the game to them.

That was a tough watch
Altrincham miles better than us and should be further ahead
Once again midfield nowhere near athletic enough to compete and not one player having a good game

Dixon and Parkes (think it was Parkes) will be disappointed with the goal as well

Huge turnaround needed in second half as that was crap though altrincham a decent side

Midfield is embarrassing and Phillips has had plenty of games now to see the same things happening again and again, get someone in there who can run

Midfield is dreadful however KP is playing the team far to deep needs to push up the back four.
Just watch if any of midfield win the ball he has no where to go cos the other midfielders are just far to deep so we lose the ball rinse repeat.

So excited for these to come on in the second half if we don’t improve…

Alty playing as they always play.
Stand off them and they will pass through the lines.
We HAVE to be brave 2nd half or its over.
We are way too narrow.

We have no pace to push up the back 4 though, especially with feather as deepest midfielder

Play a midfield of Cooke, Crawford and Feather together and you are basically conceding the midfield worrying if Phillips hasn’t seen this already

Altrincham look good, players look fitter and faster and can actually play a bit

Exactly this. They're pressing the second we get the ball even in our own penalty area and working their arses off. We're standing off and waiting for them to come at us about a meter over the half way line.

I reckon Dixon would like another go at saving the goal (he should have).

Credit to Phillips for putting a sub on , not sure
If injured and not the only one but Dickerson did fuck all first half

That lad Louis Stevenson is rapid. In fact he’s a bit of a rocket.

He's defending like a class above as well. Waterfall just high fived him off the ball.

What we need in terms of pace/athleticism etc

Phillips really does deserve credit for turning this around as do
The players after as bad a first half as I have seen

Excellent second half. High pressing, forcing mistakes and actually finding players with our passing. Thought Stephenson was excellent defensively and Crawford was much much improved second half and Grey was great again. Dixon should’ve definitely saved the second and probably the first but I’m ok with him making mistakes as long as we win…

Yes completely different kettle of fish 2nd half.

Dixon has been good since Phillips showed up but was poor today

Still think we are too far behind to make playoffs but a win over solihull would make things interesting

Reminds me of the season that got ended early under Challinor. We just missed out on playoffs, back KP and he will take us up next season.
