i would of thought we would see a CM coming in for sure.

This lad seems to tick all the boxes if hes fit - can remember him being in that really good side that won L2 that year. Hes the right age and has plenty of EFL experience too. Hoping if he comes in he will challenge the likes of Crawford and Cooke for a place.

id also presume we may see a left back or right back coming in too ?

hints given on the talkshow with Jeff to me sounds like he wants another attacker in. Dont think Duffus is the man we thought he would be which is a shame. Khan looks neat and tidy and could be a good partnership up top with Mani D. But wouldnt hurt having another out and out CF pushing for a starting position !

He only dropped out of the 1st team picture at Sutton this month and had 6 seasons at Orient, so is another one who would offer bags of experience at a higher level than we are now. Not a goalscoring midfielder though.

I think Phillips could mould him into a good player if he does sign.

Wallace has to be one of the biggest (for me) hyped up nothings of the last 5 years.

really was excited by this acquisition and the Mansfield lot seemed to think he had alot about him. He doesnt tackle and is as weak as pesh.

given he can play football yes but at this level you need a little bit more about you than just passing the ball as a CM.

Has he an older brother called Cassius?

Craig Clay seems a nailed on wanted man by us but the way KP was talking was as if the mans a done deal who ever it is ?

Sutton signed half a dozen players in the transfer window including a couple of midfielders, so you’d imagine Clay is still available - cancelled contract or on loan.

possibly they just hung on to him just in case these moves did not come off so expect some news by the middle of next week at the latest.

I heard he won't come cos of the "geography". One of his previous clubs was Motherwell.

No one wants to come to Hartlepool cos its a backwater...Anyhow who would want to play for Pools the way it is run..Heard it all before from Mr Law....arse

Well we have just brought in players from Scotland, London,Lancashire etc and they seem happy to play for Pools at the way its run!!

In my contracting days you had to work where the jobs were irrespective of the location.

Maybe it doesn’t fit in with his domestic arrangements, family etc it does happen, I’ve turned good things down because the wife didn’t want me to take it.
