Their last win was five games ago, they appear to be misfiring on some cylinders.
Nothing would surprise me.

Can we cope with the plastic pitch and the weight of expectation? To be honest, I have no idea but to me, optimism does not come easily. It is still early doors for KP, we need a few games to see if some kind consistency emerges. Fingers crossed as always.

i,d take a good performance by the lads over the result. think we are at a point where a really unlucky defeat is better than a lucky win for the future.

This is as tough as game we have played in this league, given they are having a wobble as they always do.

My heart says a new manager bounce - new players - plus maybe another before Saturday should see us giving them a better game than last time.

head says no chance and we get mullered by that man Cheek ! again ! 2-1 to them with another goal for Mani D

i,d go with that if we were trying to avoid relegation or gain promotion but now for me its all about bedding players in and how they perform together. lucky wins just give you false hope that gets dashed the next game. we have had too many of those in the last couple of seasons with rarely two good performances on the bounce.

1-1 for me. Would be a good point on the Plastic given their 2nd
Cheek for them and Manni D for us
A solid performance which we can hopefully build on

With Mancini back to full fitness, a 3-2 win is on the cards imo.

C'mon Pools. Weather the storm and get a late goal to steal the points and put us on a surge upwards. Give us something to dream about for the rest of the season. Love to see that lad Khan get a goal.

Intrigued by this Cheek fascination, as far as I can see he has only scored 2 goals in 7 appearances, unless Mad John stats are wrong!

I just hope we play like last week. Top notch goal keeping , throwing bodies on the line for 90 minutes to keep a clean sheet. Just about everyone played a blinder. Go for them on the front foot. I think Philipps will go for the jugular. His style press press press . Keep it up superkev

I wonder if he starts with the same team as last week or puts the new lad Dickenson in from the start, We might as well go for the win on the front foot looking at Bromleys recent form.

Mancini and one of the new signings Khan I think are doubtful due to injuries according to Tees, nothing on the OS though about them being doubtful ?

Don’t we train on a plastic pitch?

Maybe that’s why we have so many injuries ?

I believe there is a plastic Pitch at Maiden Castle but not sure if that is the only pitch available to Pools. According to KP in his pre-match interview, not all plastic pitches are the same. He talked about if they were dry the ball tends to stick and makes a passing game more difficult but if the pitch is wet it speeds things up. He thinks the Bromley one is dry. But heck, who knows what will happen.

Pools have grass and synthetic pitches to play on - they only had access to plastic pitches when they first went to Maiden Castle but Askey got that sorted.

Pools were truly dreadful in the home game against Bromley so a bit of revenge would be good. Speaking of their players, Olomola has 8 or 9 for the season, including the last goal at the Vic. Found his level.

Let’s hope Mancini injury isn’t related to his previous hamstring one.

I wouldn't be surprised if they just didn't want to risk them on a plastic pitch and it's easier to say they are injured.

I haven't had any injuries this season although I play every night . . . . . .

IN MY DREAMS!

Scored a wonder goal last night, jumped up to celebrate, and the ref (wife) ruled the goal out.

PS: 2-2 today

What really stands out is they are so much more athletic than us all over, said it so many times , cooke + Feather in midfield = overran

We need an Aygemang sort of player we had in the autumn to not have teams just run past us

Almost 2

Their number 16 is just running through us from
Center back and our midfield is just so slow, constantly caught in possession or 2 yards off it when they break

They are a good team + plastic pitch etc but hopefully Phillips sees the actual standard required to compete at the top…..which means more investment from above !
