He was only on loan wasn't he? Please tell me we weren't about to offer him a contract but then signed all of that Scottish shite instead.

My understanding is that he was offered a contract which was withdrawn by Hartley.

As I recall, he had more than his fair share of injuries so no one was that bothered when he left.

I’m speaking in relative terms like …’There’s the girl I could have married’ and the advice was always too late now mate.
Plus my interest in Newport County comes just behind recycled tramps underpants and before home dentistry for beginners….but would he have done it for us….the boards full of posts about ex players banging goals in elsewhere but doing bugger all here.

Morris had been to 10 clubs before Pools went to Grimsby who let him go after one season. As said above nobody was that bothered when he left Pools. So he scored a spectactual goal does that make him any better player.

he had a house sorted and everything, was absolutely screwed over by wee twanky !

he is a great footballer - he showed that when he played for us. Pretty sure his first few games he played we actually won.

but his injuries where killing us and i think i remember one of his last games he played for us, he struggled like hell but still played.

had a good game last night i thought and took that shot really well regardless of its minor deflection

I have no regrets, just said it was a cracking goal.

For once i think Hartley made the correct decision.

Another example of any players from the town being completely overrated. Whoever decided to sign Sylla instead of him made a great decision. Shame we couldn’t have ‘withdrawn’ the offer to Dolan in the same way this summer.

Not sure where you read that? He’s scored 4 in the league this reason plus that one in the cup.

Early retirement beckons.

Very true although I wouldn’t say excellent but then why has ten clubs let him go and he’s only 26.

He’s got more coverage on here than he did when he was here.

Just because he scored a good goal doesnt mean to say he should still be with us. He is only at Newport they certainly arent real madrid.

I suspect it’s a knee jerk reaction….whenever a former player scores a goal on occasions like this some supporters go a bit crazy and regret we never kept him….a week later they’re forgotten.
