Only if Pools lose which lets face it, is a distinct possibility. If Pools win the vast majority will be happy. I have no way of knowing one way or another but I suspect most Poolies do not share the anti Raj hatred we see on this forum from a small number of contributers.

Most people I speak to don’t give a toss, the team performance is more important, the politics is neither here nor there.
I just hope some fools don’t use the opportunity to disrupt things, because that will undermine things on the pitch and do little for team spirit.

You have to feel sorry for Kevin Phillips in this.

Don’t feel sorry for him, back him.

Or could call him and get the sack.

Think Mr Lee went down that avenue.

Sounds like Manni D will be involved today. The starting 11 and formation is anyone’s guess. 3 centre backs or Manny O benched to make room for Waterfall?

We might have a chance with him in attack and mancini. Big result needed today.

Today's result will define the rest of the season imo.
A hopeful 3-1 win with Mancini back in form.

Good for Phillips putting the new signings straight in and
The bench looks more positive than I can remember this season

Looks like 4-5-1 with Mancini and Khan wide of Mani D
Not convinced by any midfield that includes cooke and feather but overall optimistic looking at that line up

Manni D, Cooke, Waterfall and Khan in. Onariase, Grey and Duffy benched. Wallace dropped. 3 attacking players as substitutes including Senior!

Crawford playing in the back four instead of Onariase ?

0-0 at half time. I am following the game on official twitter so no idea how the game is going. Anyone watching video stream give their impressions? Sounds like we need to deal with Chadwick. Was happened with Manni Ds injury, he was having treatment for a while. Is it head injury or has a leg/knee injury come back?

Like the look of Khan, quality. I think working with Mani there is lots of goals to come. Parkes at back solid again. Waterfalls tough. Kevin Philips barking orders full 45 mins. Even game. Ferguson had to go off. York well organised . Probably had the best chance but like the look of our new team.

Poor first half, York the better side of you had to pick one, their physical striker causing our defence more problems from hopeful balls than ours causing them

Featherstone struggling, and Khan seems ok so far full of running at least

You aren’t missing much on the whole

York targeted Mani. When he is in the box he is threat. He has head injury. Physio couldn’t stop blood on his head. Remember Terry Butcher. Good game

Typical Pools, winning 2-0 with five minutes to go, they have to keep the fans on edge! However the new signings are having a positive effect which is good for the future.

Thank goodness. Why do we always make life difficult for ourselves? Was the York goal a daft one? The Twitter bloke cant be arsed to describe opposition goals, just says they score.

We showed the lad in on the right foot and it bobbled past the keeper, nice to see some fight, some tackles for once.

That is the best I have seen Pools play for about 4 years. Dixon fantastic. The new defenders hard bastards throwing their bodies in. Last ditch defending. Everything we have been calling for. Featherstone fantastic, Cooke the game of his life . Crawford fighting for everything. Senior the new winger quick as fuck. Khan class act . Mani back brilliant. Pools worked their socks off. Kevin Philipps screaming his head of all match . Mancini poor today. Who have I missed out we conceded at the end but fucking hell we where never going to give in. Don’t anyone criticise Pools today. They were brilliant. Class act. Man of the match don’t know but Cooke must be up there. The new defenders hate conceding aggressive loved it. Parkes brilliant. It’s past midnight here now. At fuckin last. Brilliant game and York added to it also. Very organised . Well done Raj.
Goodnight lads. Now that’s a real pools team

Just reading through the start of this thread after watching the game. Neither team was poor (York haven't been beaten in about 6 and you could see why) and it was a good game so all of this "two poor teams and York the better side" stuff is just negative bollocks.

We looked much, much better at the back. Dixon had a good game in goal with proper defenders in front of him (he couldn't do much about their goal - it was panic stations, took a slight deflection and went right into the corner).

Featherstone and Crawford played well, Cook had his best game in ages (he played great) and it was a breath of fresh air to see Manny D back. He looked rusty but still scored 2. Mancini was being marked very tightly but looked a class above while he was fresh. I can't believe we've landed Waterfall and Parkes after the shite we've had to endure recently. Just yes.

The new lads all look very promising. Courtney Senior missed a couple of great chances but his positioning, running and attacking balls look like just what we need.

As for Phillips - he looks well up for it.
