FIFA are proposing that the supporters of any team using racist chants against players of the opposing team will forfeit the points to the opposition.

That's the last away day fancy dress sorted. All go as Dorking fans, just in case we need the 3 points to avoid the drop.

like most proposals from bodies that do not understand fans it will not work. thought of this when i first read it. your team is on the same poits as an opponent the last day of the season. just get a few into their ends and abuse one of your own players. the resultof the game would be worth nothing to them then.

Another scenario I thought of, imagine you are a player with a pay cut as part of a relegation clause. Your team is only relegated because of points forfeited due to a racist incident, what are the legal ramifications?

It's just hot air from FIFA to show how serious about racism they are, even though they know it is totally unworkable

The odd thing about racist chants are that it is apparently ok to insult referees and linesmen (sorry people) or players and managers without any action, yet insulting someone for their colour is treat differently, surely should all be treated the same way?

Do we end up with a chants league and for arguments sake would calling a Welsh player Taffy constitue a racist slur?

one thing about this proposal it would be the first time fans have had their club getting a points deduction. most of these deductions the fans are the only ones not causing them and the only ones really to suffer.

Good way of getting your rivals a points deduction, plant a few of your fans in the opposing team section and have them make racist chants.

The reason I say Naughty Naughty is that my eldest son married a black Jamaican Lady some years ago and they have 4 children. all with their mother's skin tone.

As far as I am aware, living in Bromley and close to London, the children in particular don't have racist problems. The one girl is studying Law at Uni in Liverpool and told me a few years back that she wanted to become a Judge and I have no doubt she will succeed.

One boy is signed up to Fulham's Academy whilst the other 2 train with Chelsea so hopefully I might see them all on the pitch together in a Premier League game.

So yes a proud grandfather of 4 black children.

good luck to them all mate and you should be proud. the biggest part of the population would agree especially if left alone to carry on with their lives without racism or being put on a pedistel for some peoples political views or agendas.

75 now Snowy, will I live to see that day

If still alive in my 90's, I'll probably be short of sight, short of memory, in my wheelchair, pushed by the Nurse who will have to regularly change both my nappy and bib and then take me back to one of Raj's care homes. Not a thought to be thinking!

It's a bit of a hike popping up the North East from Bromley, training a couple of days a week and mainly relying on Mum & Dad to take you. I think they are driving nearly every night and weekends ferrying the boys about so, although it would be amazing seeing one or all 3 in a poolie shirt that might end in a dream.
