Speaks very well. Mentions 2 or 3 coming in within the next week which could be interesting considering he talked about pace and leadership too.

Good interview, he seen first hand how slow our midfield is, sounds like he is already looking to ship players out!

Good interview now lets get behind him and the team, get the take over completed and have only peuple interested in the club running the club.

Liked the comments when asked about Sunderland connections for players. Realises that young players not up to ‘men’s’ football and looking for leaders.

Could he have given a better interview? Nope. Great stuff. Hope his common sense rubs off on the players.

I like how he said that youth team players at this level and this time are not what we need !

FINALLY a manager who can see sense !

Best interview since the scouse git left.
Top notch especially "don't want to see us outrun and outfought" and "need to move some on and some players wont like it".You bet they wont.
Taxi for Dolan and Ndjoli for starters.

Very intelligent interview. Seems like an insightful guy. Would not disagree with anything he said.

He said he will upset people but he has a job to do and its always in the best interest of the club and team etc... spoken like a true manager. Hes been under some good lads back in his playing times and it shows during that interview for sure !

Ndjoli - Dolan - Jameson to name but a few who i think may find themselves with very limited game time under the new gaffer. Pruti might too tbh ! Aslong as we get cash for them or at least replace them with better then its a fantastic start by the new gaffer for me !

Who's going to give us cash for any of our players? Only Manni D and Mancini likely to attract a bid, and they're the last 2 we want to be losing.

I think it will be a case of more loans - or just terminated contracts ?

unless there is bids in for players (we would never know) and KP feels like those players can be replaced with the better lads hes lined up.

Some players might be on month to month contracts not sure ? did feaths sign on till end of season ?

I think Raj may have found a gem. He is due a bit of luck after the Hartley episode.
It's refreshing to see Our Kev approves.

Yes. Nobody is on a month to month contract.

Quality interview with the new gaffer. I'm busy trying to keep my powder dry!
He gets what it means to us and hopefully with a bit of luck can instill the passion and desire into the players that they has deserted us since September.

Without looking at Mad John's site - did KP play against us for Sunlun in the FA Cup tie at New Joker?
Assuming he did, he would have seen first hand, us taking 10k and but for Mart Poom having a blinder, would have more than deserved a replay

Does anyone know why he's suspended and has to be in the stands tomorrow?

(I hope it's because he's mouthy and gives a shit).

Looks to be bang on:

INCIDENT OF MISCONDUCT – NON-STANDARD CASE
Kevin Phillips

South Shields FC vs Warrington Town FC
Northern Premier League Premier Division
15 April 2023

Breach of FA Rule E3.1 – It is alleged that in or around the 96th minute of the fixture he acted in an improper manner and/or used abusive and/or insulting words towards a Match Official.

Mr Phillips has until 6pm on 6 June 2023 to provide a response.

Its still a wait and see what happens for me. Not getting overexcited just by an interview which is the easiest of his tasks in his job. If he is as good as he talks we should see a new dawn at pools but i,m more interested in action rather than words.

i bet the match official went home and told his mummy about the nasty man that shouted at him. they never give a reason why managers have a pop at them and whether its really deserved or not. some managers cannot see past there own side but others can see things from both sides.

Music to my ears what he had to say, the first one since Challinor to make common sense…. So cheer up, got to give the bloke a chance.

i,ll give the bloke a chance like all new players who are brought in. i,m fully behind him at its up to him if he gets a fair crack at the job with some backing from above to keep me onside. i,m happy with the appointment but have been happy with other ones only for my hopes to be dashed quickly after.

Surely that's the objective in this piss poor division.
Some might say it's a 5 year project.

Agreed. Very easy to get carried away when a glimmer of hope appears after months of misery.
