They’ve put bollards down for the queue of applicants, looks like football’s equivalent of the Dunkirk beaches.

I wonder if the noisy blue stuff with nice white bits on the top next to the beach had Askey wondering.

My reference to Dunkirk, had me remembering my late father in law, a lovely bloke, was captured at Dunkirk, someone had to occupy the Germans and obviously became a prisoner of war for five years despite him and his mates getting as far as Boulogne…I asked him if he was sick being the rearguard and in all seriousness told me he hated boats…turns out it was true.

I like Germany and Belgium too……visited Coblenz which is really nice and on this glorious sunny day we were exploring the town centre. The wife’s sister lived in Germany and the brother in law said to me come and look down here…. It was an indoor shopping parade and he took me to the very end and in it was screens everywhere showing porn and no one was batting an eye lid except me….. :scared-eek: :scared-eek: :scared-eek: … suddenly I heard a voice behind me and there was the silouhette outside the indoor parade of the wife. bbolt….’Come here’ sonI caved in and acted all innocent….. ….then she said…..” what if someone we know had seen you looking in there”… I apologised till driving back the realised what’s the odds of bumping onto the neighbours in a shopping parade in Germany banghead

Scott Sellars currently one of the coaches at Wolves and has done similar jobs at Man City and Chesterfield. Never been a manager. Not that keen on this one, to be honest. What do the rumours say about why Kevin Phillips is out of the picture?

Surprised we've not been linked with other Ex mags and Mackems (appears we've exhausted borer)

Ex Mags to throw in

The odious John Beresford, Warren
Barton, Brian 'killer' Kilcline, Steve Howey, Peter Beardsley, Reverend Gavin Peacock

Ex Mackems

Kevin Ball, Gary Owers, John Byrne, Peter Davenport, Julio Arca, Niall Quinn

Though as I mentioned previously the only one I think can drive this Bus is 'Flash' Gordan Watson

Could very much be someone manipulating the market to get Phillips back out to better odds then putting a big bet on him. A few £ on Sarll and Sellars to push Phillips out to 8/1 then you can make a tidy profit

This doesn’t bode well if some of the opposition fans pick up on it there will be some ‘unsavoury’ chants.
In January 2013, Sellars pleaded guilty to causing death by careless driving. Sellars had been driving home from work after returning from Dubai, where he had been coaching Manchester City's youth team, when he crashed his car and killed a motorcyclist. Sellars received a six-month suspended sentence and was ordered to do 300 hours of community service

Tubby Turner was coaching at Wolves prior to his appointment at Pools, didn’t do bad first time around but he had funds for players.

The difference is Turner was a young ambitious coach and like you said backed by IOR funds whilst Sellers is 58yrs old with no managerial experience and been doing the rounds of coaching at academies which is generally jobs for ex mates.

im actually keen for it to be Phillips now tbh - was talking with a lad i know from Shields and his mate is heavily involved up there. knows the player or 2 aswell and he said that Phillips would have Pools whipped into shape - doesnt mess about and knows his stuff. Reckons he beasted a few of the out of shape SS lads who where massively out of favour and had them back in the line up. Was impressed with them when they got the TV FA cup gig that time at their place when he was still there. Wont do any favours and wont pussy foot around. Best option for us just now.
Only thing is, his contacts i can imagine wont be as good as say a Hurst or Sarll type but you never know. We dont just want a bunch of Sunderland U21s as the last 2 we have had have been crap.

If that’s the case, it doesn’t look too inspiring and I’m sick of hoping they’ll make good, they never do.
