If Phillips does get the job - i hope its another moment where we see a young inexperienced manager do really well.
he did it at South Shields but then again so did JA with York.
i just think this team atm lacks any form of ambition. There is probably 3/4 players whom i feel want to be here and get us out of this mess.
We need them all to start really taking some responsibility and not just think im only here till the summer who cares.
It probably also doesnt help that half our CMs are carrying knocks and the confidence has probs gone out of alot of them

In Braveheart they covered their faces in blue and put up a fight, we covered them in blue and called Faintheart……with no fight whatsoever.

Phillips was incredibly well backed at south shields, we need someone that can manage dross and get them motivated for starters. Whether he is 18 or 85 year old, need to see some commitment and passion from these players, instead of lethargy and players hiding.

I wouldn't say he was young being 50 years old but definitely inexperienced in management. He has coached at some big clubs and seen the nitty gritty of non league football so if it is him then hopefully all that stands him in good stead.......but this is pools, unless he's backed he will probably join the long list of managers who don't last a year.

I think he'd be more mobile and willing than the majority of the team- Even if he is toes up.

Might want to o keep his daughter at arms length and well away from the till as I believe she's a bit light fingered., so might need to nail everything down!
