Due to the lockdowns I started watching telly a lot more like most people did and I started noticing the lack of wedding rings. The vast majority of people who do the weather / news channels / chat shows do not have wedding rings sctatchinghead Yes some are single or gay but the amount without rings is strange when compared to any other work place in my experience. Yes it's very very sad indeed but it intrigues and confuses me.

Funny that because my wedding ring is on the dressing table, because it got a bit tight. For the cost of making it a bit larger, I thought of a lot of other things better I could do with the money.
What’s the address for the Dull Men’s Club…. bbolt

I’ve got some Observers book from the 60’s..
Observers Book of Bus Stops
Observers Book of Eggs
Observers Books of Ironing Board Covers
Observers Book of The History of Plywood
Observers Book of Tudor Toilets
Observers Books of Gasometers
Observers Book of Spring Washers
Everyone a cracking good read, but I’m not a full shilling so I’m easy pleased.

I think the Producers/Directors or whoever employ these pretty female weather presenters like them NOT to wear rings as it gives the guys the belief to think they have a chance to "date" them.
Men on the other hand decide not to wear them as can get snagged causing injury to the wearer. Many moons ago I played cricket where one chap had "lost" his ring finger which had got caught in some metal boxes he was moving and tore his finger out.
I've never wore a wedding ring since.

Can’t compete on sound effects though…..unless someone catches their bits on a protruding piece of barbed wire of course.

Got to admit I do enjoy the ITV weather more when Lucy Verasamy is on screen!
Noticed she's 'available' but heard she's seeing Tommy Scrot a knacker off the Beeb weather banghead

Though have noticed when I'm back home that all the local weather casters in the north east are Scotch

There’s probably a college in Invercockaleaky in Jockistan turning them out for export…with a Master’s Degree in Drizzle.
If they slip over the border they’re handy for family events back home at short notice.

Scotch is a drink as in Scotch Whisky, people from Scotland are Scottish.

You must be at home in Kettering Mr K. along with neighbours Corby the Scottish accent isn't very far away.
My elder sister lives in Corby after moving down from Workington many years ago. From one sh*t hole to another.

know its just over 20 years ago now but used to go to corby quite regularly as my ex being scottishliked buying the scottish food sold in some shops and on the market. been to far worse places where at the time you could get a really good cheap meal from the cafe in the bus station unlike going to some poncy cotswold villiage where you get ripped off more than in blackpool.

I worked in Corby, we were advised not live in Corby and find digs elsewhere, found a digs in a great pub who sold real ale, we used to have a couple straight after work which invariably extended to nearly closing time.
The storeman was born and bred in Corby but had a Scottish accent !

Depends on the strength of the projectile inertia ratio/ trajectory and the size of their man baubles.
Do it sober.
