What was the attendance. I am struggling to find out anything about this game other than the outcome.

I’ve seen many sub 1000 crowds.

I once went to Mansfield away and there was around a dozen of us in the away end singing ‘you’re supposed to be at home’. To be fair to them they gave us a huge clap.

The biggest downer for me is we have never been anything special in all our history but we had pride and put in effort but now we are only a shadow of those years will is simply embarrassing. I was always proud to be a poolie even in the bad times which was most of the time but now I don't even dare tell people I meet that I follow this shite. rakxe

Not the most embarrassing season ever, but we’re exploring the depths and can see the finishing line to embarrassment coming up fast.

Just got to avoid defeat at Ebbs fleet on Saturday.
Otherwise the league table will show us at the lowest placing in the club's history.
3 more easy fixtures this month then we facing the big boys.
Play offs still on anyone.

Well lets be honest it wouldnt be a shock if they did a job on us. Last chance saloon, once we play the better teams were stuffed especially away. Always believe pools be tough to beat when the shit hits the fan infront of a crowd but cant even rely on that now.

Too many heartless habitual losers in the team imo.
Remember a few seasons ago going to Orient and their Youth team did a job on us, surely we've got players not getting a game who'd run through brick walls for a chance, what's the point of having a squad and academy if the team picks itself?

We do not appear to pick players by form, Ferguson has been horrendous this season.

Agree, and both Pruti and Burton can play LB or on the left side of 3 CBs.

Remember it vividly.
Liam Donnely had a melt down & Orients captain was trying to calm him down,to avoid being sent off.
While our captain, stood watching with his hands on his hips.
Quite bizarre considering the circumstances.

can look at that two ways. have they always played for struggling sides before coming to us. If so they are used to losing and it will not hurt them like some. Or as i have said on another thread is it just the club from top to bottom that drags them down to a low level.

The standard of players we sign just arent good enough. They dont just pop to pools and go shit. You get what you pay for on the whole and though has been said we cant totally prove we buy or get cheap players in, what we can see is quite a few came from non league clubs, quite a few came from the dog and duck league in scotland, most the players dont seem to manage 25 games in a season for any football league team, maybe apart from the keepers or we get players with a history of injuries. When was the last time we went to a football league club or a top side in the conference and pinched there better players? Players that are in there side week in week out, it just doesnt happen here now.

We proved when we got into the football league we couldnt compete with no one for signings. Its just gradually getting worse. Our first signing this summer fans raved about when he came from scarborough. Just showed how far we have dropped, when any crumb we were all getting gets us excited.

it takes some doing to get thousands of fans to accept crumbs off the table and still feel positive about anything pools related. bet governments wished they could do the same.

We proved when we got into the football league we couldnt compete with no one for signings. It’s just gradually getting worse. Our first signing this summer fans raved about when he came from scarborough. Just showed how far we have dropped, when any crumb we were all getting gets us excited.

The issue isn’t with our first signing from Scarborough (who’s looked good in his very limited appearances by the way). It’s with who we get in to guide them along. It’s fine signing Pruti, Brennan, Johnson, Burton etc but you need someone to play alongside who will talk to them and guide them through the games. Gary Liddle and Neill Byrne did this very well with Timi as they had experience. These signings cost the most money which is why we probably can’t compete. In the summer we were crying out for a leader at the back who fitted Askey’s tactics of building from the back. Instead we replaced Murray with Onarise, who is a good defender but isn’t an organiser and gives me a heart attack whenever he has the ball at his feet. We seem to have such a scattergun approach to recruitment it’s insane. We recruit players who are available rather than saying this player is going to come in and play this position because of his strengths which are X,Y,Z. Pruti is a good example of this. He played exclusively in the centre of a back 3 at Brentford because he can defend but isn’t good with the ball at his feet. Watch any Brentford B game he played and you’ll see him playing simple passes to more capable players. Instead we put him left of a 3 and expect him to link play and bring the ball out. We also have only recruited for 1 system (5-3-2) and when this hadn’t worked we haven’t tried to bring in wide players to change formation. We have Hastie and Grey who can play there but now are having to try Cooke and Crawford on the wings. Neither have pace which scares any less than competent defender at this level. Whether it’s down to budget, stubbornness, a lack of recruitment infrastructure or any other reason remains to be seen but it’s just plain stupid.

Just last week fans were buzzing we signed 2 players, the lad up fronts goal scoring record isnt great yet we expect him to change our season round, fans also forget 4 players went back to their clubs to get these two in.

we were buzzing about a win as well that should have been by a wider margin where players did put a shift in. problem it wasn,t long before normal service was resumed.

Would that be the away match at the end of the relegation season.
Saw that, it was obvious they couldn’t give a monkeys and just going through the motions.
