Imagine the scene…all hells broken loose, the ships in a bad way, it’s groaning and creaking after striking a IorbergLarsen and it’s about to break up ….people are rushing about putting on life jackets and getting into the lifeboats, with only one still on the davits waiting for the last remnants from the crew to get aboard, they appear but as Captain Raj shouts down to the them to get in to the life boat a couple of them take a stand and refuse to get into the last lifeboat, they’d rather go down with the ship than listen the order to get in.
For Stanley the reluctant stoker (not his real name) getting in Captain Raj’s life boat( it’s Billy) is beyond a nightmare and shouts up that he’s not getting in his lifeboat.
Captain Raj tells him get in or you drown, but Stanley doesn’t care and refuses, then he shouts ‘Don’t get in either” to the Cabin boy Sidney ( ok it’s Kev)..and they climb up the mast shouting down from the crows nest that the good ship SS Konsortearoom is just over the horizon out of sight coming to save them.
The last boat is lowered into the water and the ship sinks….all that is left above the water is the crows nest battered by waves…..Stanley and Sidney wait in vain for rescue from the SS Konsortearoom which decides to go somewhere else instead.
Stanley and Sidney found a new life below the ocean as Nighmaremaids and demanded tightwad Neptune makes way for a new ruler under the underperforming waves willing to spend on improving the seabed…….. yawn1
A trident up the jacksy settled the argument.

And that's the difference between You 2 and the rest of us - I'd take the Poundland lifeboat over the 200 mile swim, neither with any guarantee of survival btw, but I know which would have the likelier chance of it.

We might argue till we’re blue in the face, but there’s no malice

Of course not. Just a load of idiots on a message board with very differing opinions.

I think insanity is grossly underrated, a bit now and then re calibrates your brain.
I once spent four hours off the Isle of Man watching the tide come in, ok I had no choice, but it made me think.
