Now then chaps, a bit of fun before teams announced - Quite a tough one given injuries and loans returned, starting 11 and formation

4-3-1-2

Dixon

Hendrie, Mani O, Pruti, Ferguson

Featherstone, Wallace, Hastie

Mancini

Cooke, Grey

Subs- Stevenson, Dolan, Burton, Wreh, Hancox

Was I dreaming or did I hear he had a plan for playing "rush goalie"?

Cannot see Mancini starting but he will probably come on if needed. We have 3 games in a week it would be silly to risk him if it's not a necessity.

Has Wreh been recalled? No mention on Official Site. I wondere if he might give Dolan a run out in midfield instead of starting Mancini. Also Crawford is meant o be available so he could be a potential starter instead of Dolan/Mancini.

Agree 100%. He is too important a player to flog into the ground. Give him 30 minutes at the most but hopefully he wont be needed.

We must NOT concede early, the Millhouse needs to stay onside, and we simply cannot afford to lose this one.
Fatty Dolan was at Newport with Auld Len, and think he had a hand in him coming home. sadx
And if Pruti won't have been involved in training this week, think he will go :

5-4-1
Dixon
Hendrie, Mani, Dolan, Wallace, Ferguson
Cooke, Featherstone, Crawford, Hancox
Grey
Subs:Jameson, Pruti, Stephenson, Mancini, Hastie.

Nelson.. and England expects every man to do his duty.
God help us.
NSD.

Joe Grey as lone striker is a huge worry, although we don't seem to have any options.

Starting line-up announced on X as
Dixon
Stephenson Hendrie Onarisie Ferguson

Wallace Featherstone Crawford Cooke

Mancini Grey

Subs: Jameson, Pruti, Paterson, Hancox, Hastie

So no place in the matchday squad for Dolan (as if!). Bit of a risk starting 3 players who have been out a while and only working their way back to fitness.

Featherstone captain.
Long overdue so well done auld Len.
Fatty Dolan obviously still too fat.

good to see Hastie benched, surprised no slot on bench for Burton

Grey just hit the bar!
My coverage keeps going out but we seem on top with good movement

They are bad. They make us look half decent. I think one goal from us will be enough.

Could and should have been more goals for Pools. And as said elsewhere on The Bunker - how did they beat us 2-5? That free kick of theirs was something special and have to give my admiration for the 24 from Oxford who travelled up and back. True footy fans. And Darlo won 1-0 away. That's for you Lone Star.

Joe Grey should have had 3 or 4 if he'd taken better options. Mani D would probably have had 4 or more with the chances we had.
Got to admit though, that Mancini aside, there free kick was superb.

All strikers at this level miss chances, including Mani - the two early on in the home game against Chesterfield come to mind.

Joe Grey has 6 league goals so far this season including 3 in the last 4 - against Wealdstone, Oldham at home and today, which ain't too shabby at all.

There's plenty of room for improvement but it looks like the 3 year contract he got when he was 19 is paying off.

especially with paterson being on the bench. the lad looked pissed off when he walked infront of the main stand a couple of times or is that his natural expession. mind you would any of us like to be seen as being worse than paterson.
