Given the injuries to Manni D and Josh Umerah, who will play up front on Saturday? No sign of a recall of any of the loan players so I'm wondering. Only Hancox and Gray are forwards but neither of them ar CFs. That leaves Hastie. Is he going to played as a makeshift CF? He is not known for his strength on the ball, is he? Wondering what others think?

Is Umerah really injured though - did he just take a knock and thought feck this i cba (as his attitude lately doesnt seem the same as before to me).

Recalling Wreh and Ndjoli would be a complete waste of time - both are rubbish. Would be better offering the lads on a saturday for FC a game.

However i have noticed Fela whom scored against us recently - notching them away. Like Fondop its always our cast offs coming back to haunt.. Kabamba can be added to that and im sure many more from seasons past too !

We really need to be knocking on the doors this week and asking for a striker from our neighbours. A young hungry kid from the boro is better than what we currently have !

also its massively frustrating that again there isnt an update on injuries ?

is Hendrie back soon ? Johnson ? Mattock ? the others.... ???

I believe Wreh is back and Pruti will be back either this week or after the weekends game.
Alongside no injury updates it’s the loan updates I’m interested in. Mattock’s loan is up and he’s injured anyway so won’t be back. Johnson, Hancox and Brennan’s loans are up and I believe Seaman has gone back to Doncaster too (whether it’s for physio for his injury or not who knows). There’s also been rumours that Jameson will be going back to Harrogate so some clarity would be great.

As much as id like to see some of those loans go back anyways - it doesnt make for good reading with the team size we are left with.

Seaman as much as hes failed in the latter stages of his Pools career so far - id still rather play him than have Hastie there. Even too if Hendrie can come back into the mix hes much more needed at CB than RB just now. So to have him fit would be ideal. Sure i read he was season long loan as technically he came in as the RB in place of Sterry.

Mattock and Johnson i think will return and not come back.

Brennan id like to see more of and think he could help the cause tbh. Unless there is better to bring in to replace him with !

Jameson im not assed about as hes crap anyways !

Seaman was excellent at the start of the season, but I guess that was more down to having the excellent Dodds backing him up.

Hendrie is no centre half, passablea t right back though. It is unfair to have a go at Hastie for that position as he is no defender!

Mattock sadly 6 weeks out. He was starting to look decent as he got his fitness together.

Johnson has struggled with the high balls.

Brennan hasn't been too great but he, like Mattock, is probably in need of the games after a long time out.

Jameson is no better than Dixon, for some reason both are so slow getting down to low shots. Killip looks better every day!

With Mani D likely out for a long time, no news on that. I am sure Umerah is injured, he has tried just not got a great chance. As you say Wreh and Ndjoli are not really up to this level. On that front, what has happened to Cedwyn Scott, not been seen for Notts County since August, not even on the bench since then. Don't know if injured or just manager thinking not up to it. When he went with Langstaff from Gateshead, I thought Je wasn't really a League player at the time but at our new level wouldn't be the worst shot if fit.

Pruti back would be good, what has happened to Dolan, not missing him just been no news for a while since he pulled up pre game.

Dolan was just frozen out by Askey and didnt suit what he thought we needed - was told this by him personally as caught him in the local over XMas.

Cedwyn Scott is a good shout tbh ! forgot about him. These are the types of players we should be knocking down the door of league clubs for. Dont want him well we will give the lad a second chance ! even if its just a month - worth a try at this level !

be heaps of them just decaying on U23 benches who could probs do us the world of good !

Think Hancox is worth hanging onto. Brennan, maybe - he looked a bit shell-shocked in both Oldham games. Johnson definitely not. Jameson can go if the this Joe Monks character - who has been keeping a VERY low profile since he joined in September - has got a better loan alternative lined up.

Kabamba wasn't a cast off - he was bought by Kilmarnock and had 18 months in the Scottish Prem. He averages more than a goal every other game for Barnet - he's scored 36 in 68 appearances. Top player at this level.

Dolan was fucking shite the one game he did start-looked past it, and a player several years past his retirement date which is basically what he is....another stupid signing whose only criteria was 'he's a local lad' fair play to him for keeping a straight face signing his guarantee for another year last season though.

If that was the Rochdale game he was the only one resembling a footballer. Askey started him in defence and he was the only one who looked anything like he knew what he was doing. Askey moved him into midfield again looked like the only one who wanted it. Askey couldn’t p!$$ him off so he subbed him at half time.

Is that you Matty? He was garbage against Rochdale as they walked through us until Askey saw sense and hauled him off for Aygemang who could actually run and should not have been sent back

I get the distinct impression Askey had a talent for pissing people off…and not in the subtlest of ways.

We were absolute dogsh#te, on and off the pitch, he worked harder than those around him. Deserved recognition for his contribution, rather than just lambast him cos you don’t like him. He’s not the answer but credit where it’s due, if it was only 45 minutes.

Football is a funny old game.

Player X is loved by supporter Y & loathed by supporter Z

They both have watched player X, mostly in the same game(s), and have totally different opinions. As I said "funny old game"

Higgy referred to that as back of postage stamp knowledge.

Higgy would know, his training sessions would fit on the back of a postage stamp.

managers too have different opinions on players and there opinions are more valid than some fans. thing is nobody are right or wrong about a player as there will be someone to back up your opinion and you will not be on your own.

Lenny L said Umerah is still out injured - looked like a bad one when he hobbled off last Saturday though some seem prepared to believe he was putting it on. stpid

I'm hoping for an announcement of a loan signing today otherwise we could have the smallest forward line in the club's history against Oxford City.

actually something like that has been done before but not at pools. play em both out wide, not have a central striker but support from midfielders. crawford if he does get back plus mancini could actually make that work. better than getting wreh back doing a non job.

That's assuming a player who is just coming back from 4 month lay off and another (Crawford) who has been out for 6 weeks are both going to start. Very unlikely - not to mention there's another game (at Fylde) on Tuesday night.

I can easily imagine Pools getting a comfortable win on Saturday and while we're all hailing the new Messiah and thinking everything is going to be OK, but because the likes of Mancini and Crawford have not got the fitness for two games in quick succession, we get stuffed at Fylde and we all fall to Earth with a sickening thud. The essence of being a Poolie!
