No blind insistence that things will get better but doubt they could get worse? You couldn't make it up!
As for struggling for 60 mins on Saturday, not according to match reports, and we were level in 50 odd anyway! Don't think anyone who was there has said it was a struggle.

Wow we were level against a team of stocktons level after 50 minutes and thats not a struggle, jesus how low do we have to stoop before some actually wake up. Not sure how much worse things need to get before you think you know what new owners cant actually do much worse.

Good job we didn’t have that attitude back in the late 60’s, because if we did, you wouldn’t have a problem now because Pools wouldn’t exist….and this death of a thousand cuts is still better than most of what we had pre IOR.
So, no you wouldn’t, that’s the mindset of …..’bugger tomorrow, let’s have a party’…there’s always a bill and regrets.

It's not bugger tomorrow attitude.
I've seen us in trouble god knows how many times, but we always managed to pull through some how, this time,i'm not so sure.
I just think if this rumour is a load of crap,we'll go tits up anyway.
If it is true & we get a few good seasons great.

Their is truth behind it, Hust comfirmed it a few weeks ago or that a consortium is interested its whether they can get the deal over the line, though i think a few are just happy to plod on from one embarassment to another. The ones who said no ones interested in us are now turning it into well how do we know they are going to be any better?

One thing to mention is south Shields are also courting interest from Americans, hopefully not the same people.

Looking at the highlights and reading match reports, and from comments from people who were there we didn't struggle at all.
The goals were a while coming but we romped it and we're still in the competition, unlike many other clubs which actually lost to lower league clubs.
But I suppose every silver lining has to have a cloud eh?

Yeah the Yanks have approached me about my old Subuteo collection, but only if I tape the corner of the box up and include the ‘stadium’( made it meself) and my floodlights ( ex Xmas tree lights ) in the sale.
What am I going to do with $ 243564286542286543986556780356 and 3 cents sctatchinghead

We were playing the city of liverpool who had 10 men for the last 30 minutes. It was 1-1 until they lost a man we will get pezzled if we dont up our standards on saturday.

I was going to sell but I’ve had a counter offer from Hiram J Mooseburger III from Burgerville in Mississippi the ‘frozen crocodile’s in batter’ magnate.
Decisions, decisions, decisions. :angry-tappingfoot:

Well if it comes off and they bring assurances that they're here for the long run and to further the club great.

It's the blind insistence that new owners will make everything rosy on the pitch that I can't get my head round, hence my earlier post re York. They've spent loads for this league, striker was signed for around 300k from Ayr, 2 CBs at a combined 150k. Knocked out of Trophy by Bath (I think) and not doing anything in the league.
Hopefully a new owner will give us less uncertainty and success on the pitch. But there's no guarantees in this game.

They will do something in the league(mark my words), When Ardley gets them sorted.

I think they will too, lets be honest most teams with money eventually do something in the conference, notts county, stockport, wrexham and now chesterfield have all been examples of splashing the cash has got them success in this league, york at the minute may seem to be doing stuff wrong but it wont last eventually they will probobly get lucky.

just wonder if york have an owner who is meddling more on team affairs and signings unlike the ones mentioned. it must be hard just to leave someone with your checkbook and tell em to just get on with it. trust or not trust your manager does not fully come into it. if any of us owned pools we,d find it hard to tell askey that we do not want so and so at the club but fancy someone else.

one thing we must agree on is the club cannot just keep bumbling along like it is now. think anything now is worth a risk and we all have to take a risk sometimes in life especially when there aint much to lose.

The clubs like a railway coach detached from the loco and still moving…… but gradually losing momentum.

I'd rather the club does keep bumbling along than Raj walking without a sale though.
If we hadn't kept bumbling in the 60s, 70s, 80s we would've been thrown out of the league never to return in a likelihood.
We're no worse off really than our previous 1st season in this league, and it's the hardest league in England to get out of. It's not as if we're in free fall at the moment.

This is from the Trust FB Page,
I do not envy Hust having to untangle the Pools accounts with Pools holding company mixed in with Raj’s construction company and aircraft leasing business!

Some nuggets from the very late 2022 accounts. With our current situation and the lateness not very relevant but give some indication of our potential. Turnover increased from £1m in 20/21 to £4m in 21/22! Just shows what cup runs and sponsorship can achieve. A profit of 0.8m. Employees up from 40 to 120. Profit on player sales in both years of £150/200,000. £1.7m in the bank, the peak with season ticket sales. The legacy debt to Sage the previous owners is now down to the low hundred of thousands.

A detailed forensic analysis might reveal more and the Trust, as already indicated, and its potential consortium members need 22/23 draft accounts and 23/24 forecasts before any sensible offer can be made.

The man on the street wouldn't be able to figure out the full picture as what is shown in published accounts is not detailed enough.
A huge job for financial experts and lawyers to untangle I would expect. Probably why it's all gone quiet.

HUST email update says initial proof of funds provided to Raj by a consortium - a first step in a complicated process, but still a long way to go

Also states that the people involved are all pools supporters.
The begining of a very long process.

We want to know how many away games they've been to and whether they were down south on a cold Tuesday night or York on a sunny Satyrday when we're doing well. WE NEED ANSWERS!
