Art is one of the great loves of my life and to see the Turner Prize has given me a bad neck from shaking my head at the utter banality it’s become ..a cross between a Monty Python sketch and a chimps artistic daubing.
How anyone can call this art is beyond me, but it’s amazing how many people are prepared to surrender their dignity to praise bullshit and look cool and trendy.
Several old box files dumped along with twisted barriers is in my humble opinion a recycling centre….nowadays the talentless give a narrative to the usual woke storyline and the critics ejaculate in unison…. what a pity they do it in the name of a true genius.
Wonder what he’d say..l sctatchinghead

if you set a quiz and want to make it difficult put a question about the turner prize as very few know anything about it and care even less. another case of if experts say something is good many will follow in case of being pointed out that they know nothing or are philistines.

In a crowd if one person laughs, The rest follow.
For some reason most humans feel the need to belong.
Can,t think for themselves or dare not.

It’s the ‘King’s New Clothe’s’ all over again. Why are art ‘experts’ not artists but theorists.
See the winner had to whip out his Palestinian flag when he got the award.

well i have spent 77 years now doing my own thing and rocking the boat a few times. have loved every minute of it especially when so many have come out of the woodwork to join me. far more satisfying than being a sheep even if you upset more than a few on the way. if anyone dislikes me or my point of view then fuck em i say.

I know I am a cynical old (supply appropriate word) but I wonder if the winner was given the award because they were Palestinian.

As you well know, these days, all the arts are dominated by liberal left politics with awards no longer being given for artistic reasons.
