Just watching sky sports news. Woman presenter and one of reporters being interviewed a woman. They then went to Man City for update and guess what, yes, a woman reporter.

Have a look at the BBC football scores and fixtures page, dominated by women’s football.

Yes but they won't have men commentating on women's football.
Positive discrimination at its most extreme, it wouldn't be so bad if they were any good. That Alex Scott for example is abysmal at every presenting or commentating job she's been handed on a plate.

All mainstream media have swallowed the woke pill but Sky and BBC seem to be particularly obsessed.

BBC determined to make her a star because she ticks three boxes; four if you count her working class routes. She is perfect in every way apart from being rubbish at presenting which the BBC dont mind at all.

it will not be too long before radio tees has one for pools match commentary. it does not bother me if they were their on merit only but they just dig em all up just for the sake of it. next step will be some julian clary type doing match of the day. what will the woke in chief garry be saying then.

Saw a panel interview in Australia with one bloke on the panel ….the other three ‘wimmin’ we’re going on about the disgrace of the woman international players getting paid less than the men.
Eventually the bloke butted in and said the men get paid more because they appeal to a much bigger market…..but the killer question was when he asked them if they attended the ‘wimmin’s’ games….silence.
He told them bluntly if women don’t attend matches it’s obviously not popular with most women and that’s why they get paid less……if you want the more money, attract more women to watch matches.

I think she's due to get married so that might be the reason.

You DO NOT need permission to have your own opinion.

What you don,t do is hurt someone deliberately by saying something.
Its just another form of control.

If i said i would not hire a fat personal trainer, I,m not having a go at people overweight for what ever reason.

Story on ITV news today that there's not enough black disabled minority presentation on TV - might be something to do with them being a minority eh?

Annoying how you have to scroll past the womens scores on bbc to get the proper results.

Should have a separate section so you can get to quicker/avoid the woman’s football stuff

they,ll be giving the womens results out before the mens next. the laugh about it is that even the lasses that play the game follow a mens side and have little interest in the womens game apart from the matches they play in. Good job top of the pops isn,t on now to show the audiance and spending time on music from certain other countries but not all.

Barbara Slater is the Director of BBC Sport, has been since 2009 I believe, no wonder women’s sport gets so much coverage on the BBC !

Jamie, if it was as popular as they like to paint it, it wouldn’t be a problem, but I have to admit I can’t think of a single woman I know who would go down to the Vic to watch a women’s football match …. I don’t see that changing.

The BBC make a point of employing women and minorities. I recall Jeremey Clarkson remarking "If you've got a scrotum forget it" with reference to working for the BBc these days.

They are now wanting equal pay with men. Where will this income come from. Yes the big matches get decent crowds but what is the admission charges, tv money will not be that high and do you ever see anyone walking around with a woman’s team shirt.

They get big crowds for some matches by giving away free tickets and selling tickets very cheaply. The majority of WSL attendances are sub 3000. Clubs like Reading Women for example are struggling to stay afloat. The Man City and Arsenal Women teams are heavily subsidised by the men's teams. Arsenal women play home games at Boreham Wood and Man City play their home hames at the Man City Academy ground. Occasionally they will stage games at the Men's stadiums but the tickets are cheap and many give aways to schools etc.

The BBC are trying their hardest to promote Women’s football, on the Scores and fixtures for tonight’s games the women’s fixtures are listed second above the EFL Trophy fixtures.
I can predict the headlines tomorrow England overcome Scotland to representTeam GB at the Olympics.

Send the women over here (Thailand)who want equal pay, women do most of the labouring etc on building sites, its usually husband and wife teams and the footwear is flip flops with socks in temperatures of +30c being paid 50p an hour.

Men’s football generates significantly more money than woman’s football, that’s why they get paid more….if they want to get more money, their ‘sisters’ will have to start attending matches on a regular basis in large numbers…it ain’t gonna happen.

The way things are politically at the moment I suspect some kind of equal pay deal will be done so women will get the same money as men despite not attracting the attendances or gaining the sponsorship. Its all about "equity" rather than what is fair.

That’s a bit like the craftsman and the Labourer on the same rate because they’re working on the same job.

like a lot of things the media throw at us and shove down our throats if they stepped back a bit people might actually show more interest in what they are trying to push. there must be many who might think they,d give it a go on a boring sunday but refuse to get involved because of it being made out to be something it just is not. better watching and getting involved with lads youth football which at under 18 level is a higher standard.

I agree. I dont have a problem with womens football but cant bring myself to watch it because I strongly object to all the hype and propaganda coming from the BBC.

Womens football in general is poor. I watched some of the England v Scotland game last night and although some are technically decent, the overall standard of play wouldn't even win many games in a sunday league.
Seeing the Scottish womens goalkeeper flapping about reminded me of the halcyon days of every Scottish keeper being shite!

again it just shows up the situation of it a few of us have mentioned. if they took womens football on its own merit rather than comparing it to mens football they might win people over. they do not do this with tennis or other sports so why should football be different. tennis must be played by a similar number of men and women but no way would the womens wimbledon champion ever beat the mens or in athletics a top woman sprinter would never beat the top man. nobody on earth expects this to happen except the bbc who would love it.

You inevitably compare it with the mens game but the gap is enormous, a bit like Formula 1 to go karting….one’s the real deal, one’s a sideshow, that’s just the way it is despite the propaganda.
It’s a sign of decisions being made by those whose interest or knowledge of football is vague, but who are more interested in pushing the politics of the game.

Currently watching Man U vs Chelsea via a French TV channel CANAL+. The programme is titled 'Match of Ze Day' - I kid you not! Anyway, there are NO women presenters, commentators, pundits, 'experts' nor former players. Makes a refreshing change from the female non-entities who are employed by the British based media purely due to their gender.

Currently watching Man U vs Chelsea via a French TV channel CANAL+. The programme is titled 'Match of Ze Day' - I kid you not! Anyway, there are NO women presenters, commentators, pundits, 'experts' nor former players. Makes a refreshing change from the female non-entities who are employed by the British based media purely due to their gender.

who would have thought that we could learn from the french. seems over time there is more and more we can learn from em

Its an Agenda Snowy, The wife watches the soaps and the stuff they push on the public.

I see Joey Barton has upset the woke brigade by daring to criticize the ever increasing number of female pundits talking about the men's game. He questions the validity of their opinions when they have no experience of the men's game except as spectators. How dare he! They're all busy calling him misogynist etc. Absolutely no time for Joey Barton but so pleased someone from the professional game has had the guts to stand up against this tide of patent absurdity.
