Charles was giving his speech about climate change to world leaders and going gung-ho at selling one of his pet projects.
Now I liked the Queens approach where she gave little away on her personal views.
I do not like having a Monarch who gets involved in anything vaguely political….this has started to annoy me.

he has to be fair been doing this for as long as i can remember. he started off with architecture and now moved on to be another thunberg. like us he is allowed a point of view but a point of view only because there are still followers of this anciant tradition who will follow what his points of view are. pack the job in you old git and work for your present venture. you can easily afford it.

Also annoying that Charles, Sunak & another member of the cabinet all travelled separately to the climate change conference. Wouldn't it have been better to all go together in 1 plane, to give the impression they actually care about the environment, before preaching to tell us what we need to do to stop the world imploding on itself?

To be fair the world has been getting hotter and colder since the big bang. What's more mankind has evolved and thrived regardless.
If cutting CO2 emissions is the answer, then why aren't the biggest polluters China and the USA not leading the way? Our politicians will use this crisis to tax the hell out of us in the name of saving the world, and also taking more control of our lives.
Meanwhile while they hand out billions in aid to countries affected by climate change (nature / weather as it used to be called) it was announced yesterday that there are more children homeless in England right now than in our entire history.

Security and safety measures usually dictate that the holders of responsible positions travel separately. If they are all in one plane and it goes down they will probably all be wiped out. Now some cynics would say good but that is usually the reason.

I thought that was just the King & his heir, ie Charles & William. I wasn't aware this also applied to the senior members of the Government, if so, fair enough, that explains why they all travelled separately.

I was surprised to discover we were the second greenest country in the world behind Denmark…. so I doubt anything we do will make the slightest difference…..I also detest the eco loons assertion that we as a country should make sacrifices to set an example to the rest of the world, are they stupid? Why should anyone listen to us, the Empire has been gone a long time yet the eco warriors sound tike some long departed Victorian missionary setting an example to the ‘natives’.

doubt the eco loons are the ones struggling in their everyday lives just to keep warm and put food that includes meat le. on the table. i do not preach to them how they live their life and do not want them preaching to me either. just leave me and the rest of us alone to live our lives as we see fit as none of will be around for ever. too many do and don,t already just to make us miserable. the world will come to an end eventually even if some loon in power does not do it first.

Just look around the world, There seems to be things done just to make ordinary folk miserable.

It happens in industry as well. A company which takes out key man insurance on their executives could have it stipulated in the terms ad conditions. It makes sense and protects the workforce as well as the company. All the brains go missing at a stroke.....not good.

The bloke is and always has been a useless twat. I’ve gone completely against the royal family since the queens death and harry hewitts nonsense. We should have had Queen Anne 2

Think we are ALLOWED to vote when it more or less odds on the vote will be favorable.

I dare say the Queen would have preferred Anne ahead of Charles too.

My sentiments exactly, he just has to interfere …we’ve had Edward the Confessor now we’ve got Charles the Meddler. Wet as a weekend in Skegness.
