Did we miss Mani O? Well he has been our main central defender all season and our defence has been rubbish all season.

Can not remember the last time we had a home run like that and trust me I have had 50 years of watching some really crap squads sctatchinghead

Surely we must of had a similar run last season.

Yes you probably correct but I am looking at the 6 games lost plus the Chester 0-2 defeat coupled with the crazy amounts of goals conceded in those 7 games alone that must be a rare combination at home sctatchinghead

Was it even worse without him? it would be hard to argue it was better today?

What’s the score going to be against Chesterfield, 10-0. I’m not laughing. Mark my word it’s possible with this defence

Any score is possible against Chesterfield. Would think you'd get great odds on 10 nil, why not get a decent bet on it, might be enough to buy Raj out?

Better odds if you put a 10-0 win to us.

I think Harrogatepoolie has more confidence in the 10 nil to Chesterfield.
I wouldn't bet on anything other than a high scoring game and then it would have to be with someone else's money.

Not excuses, observations from yesterday's game

They were superbly well organised at the back we were shambolic at times.
They were like lightening on the break we were slow and predictable.
The officials were the usual shite who gave us nothing as usual - when was the last time we had a ref who did. Thought the 1st half challenge on Cooke was red, one of their goals looked a mile offside, almost every one of their throws was a foul, linesman on millhouse side was never up with play all game.
They got lucky with their deflected shot which went in off the bar and possibly the keeper. Our shot from Wallace was deflected and looped over the bar.
Theirs is a squad that's evolved over 2 or 3 seasons, ours is a mix of previous managers misfits and the present managers signings which are just not gelling.
Mani D shouldn't be playing as a lone striker, especially against a defence as string as theirs.
Umerah is a lost cause.
Not sure it was the right decision to play on with a quarter of the pitch in darkness, doubt any towards the Town End would have been able to see what was going in up there.
We badly need to beat Fylde.

Umerah has become a lost cause. He will naff off somewhere and do well. Thing is could andy woodman do the job he has done at bromley here? im not convinced. Presently any decent manager worth his salt should stay away from this mess. Mani d should not be playing upfront on his own, problem is no one else seems capable of taking the pressure off him. Not sure how we get out of this mess? I watched 30 minutes of fylde yesterday looked a decent team at first, they will score goals against us, fell apart a bit late on but still caused havoc putting balls into dorkings box which we cant simply deal with.

Someone else really overated, conceding 2 to 3 goals a game anyway so he hasnt exactly pulled up trees.

it would not be the biggest shock in football if we actually beat them even if we used up our luck for the season in doing it. if we knew for certain what results would be in sport nobody would bother attending at times. beating the mighty york was not a season changer and neither would beating chesterfield would be as normal service will be resumed quickly after.
