Bratfud - got to be Colin Wanker's next job- might have a pound on it!

Think I'd said Donny on a previous thread, given they were bottom 3

if singh had been at bradford hughes would have gone last season and deserved it. honestly which manager did he sack that deserved more time in the job. its the recruitment of them thats where he can be faulted not the sackings.

What would be the benefit of sacking Askey?
Yet another manager and assistant to pay off and recruitment exercise- no thanks.
He isn't doing a bad job.
I understand people's disappointment at recent results but sacking Askey isn't the answer- we need stability and not constant chopping and changing of the management team.

possibly askey has had more shit thrown his way in the short time at the club than anyone else who has ever done the job. for me he deserves this season as surely the luck is bound to change and i,d hate to see another face benefitting from it.

I agree it’s the recruitment of managers but I didn’t hear many complaints when these appointments were made. Let’s be honest managers at our level only last about 2yrs so there s a lot of bad recruitment and the successful ones are generally the ones given big budgets. (Wonder what Hughes’s excuse was)

The odd thing about a manager leaving is it is always the same band of managers at the head of the queue to take over:

So Karl Roinson is favourite for Gillingham, yet after he left Oxford they have improved from the brink of relegation to the top 2.
Leam Richardson had bucketfulls of cash at Wigan, when the money ran out the form ran out.
Danny Cowley, Portsmouth and Lincoln have both improved plenty since he left.

Hughes had a major budget at Bradford and seems to have been past his sell by date. Derek Adams before him had nothing like the budgetafter they poached him from Morecambe and is working miracles again at Morecambe on the budget Raj likes to keep highlighting to back ours up.

Something not right there- Thought they were top having won virtually all their games. Maybe he's been tapped up by another club?

Mark Hughes must be the most miserable guy that ever walked the earth, never seen him crack a smile. Could you imagine being stuck in a lift with him Ryan Giggs and Roy Keane, I'd be tying my shoelaces together within minutes.

Saw Hughes being interviewed at home in his splendid trophy room with the background being his magnificent trophy cabinet framing his smug face.
That’s an ego.

You can add Sourness and the miserable Carragher.
The sky pundits are appalling.

is it that they,ll be taken more seriously when they never show a smile or have any humour about them. its the same when any club signs a new player where they rarely show any slight humour in their interviews. can add referees to this who give the impression of wishing they were somewhere else but have a great sense of humour off the pitch.

Same as Southgate they reckon he has a real sense of humour of camera.

Also liked his snippet on the bbc website regarding VAR.

The only time I ever laughed at anything Souness related was in Boys From The Blackstuff.

YOSSER: You're Graeme Souness.

SOUNESS: Yeah.

YOSSER: You look like me. (pause) And Magnum...!

a big improvement on their previous one and can be seen as a safe pair of hands on paper anyway.

Southgate even did that awful Pizza Shit advert with Stuart Pearce and Chris Waddle years ago, wearing a paper bag over his head. Thought it was just cause he was ugly and didn't want to scare the kids off their pizza!

the interesting thing will be checking their present league position to where they will be at this time next season if their new managers last that long. how many managers themselves actually turn a clubs fortunes around on their own abilities without the cheque book coming into play.

If you are in the bottom half of any of the leagues the manager is always under threat. Average for managers is probably not much more than two years in the lower leagues.
