You have to give credit to them knocked another 6 in today.
Considering they have a very little amount of supporters and a very small budget just shows how good their scouting must be.

They’ve had good day…but their opponent’s manager has just been sacked…we had a similar score when Challinor left.
Might as well take advantage I suppose.

Yes those who claimed Askey owned Williamson tactically after a last minute smash and grab may want to reconsider
They are doing better than we are with less resources, tho in fairness more luck
On the injury side

I posted before the season started and said on here that Gateshead are a dark horse. I cannot remember anyone agreeing but a few disagreed.

I think they will be in the mix come the end of the season, thought so after we played them and was impressed with them.

Its not about crowds though. Charging 21 quid and getting average gates of 4200 means nowt or so werr told, yet im syre when crowds dip further we will soon hear about it.

Crowds are only an indicator of how if you can create a club like Forest Green and throw money at it, the crowd size can be ignored because the benefactor picks up the bills …..but what a soulless place it must be without enough fans.
Answer is we need a benefactor….there’s the problem, but our legacy personnel ain’t exactly helping things along.

Im sure crowds help massively if it was put back into the team. Can you imagine what sort of team we would have if we were being watched by 1200? We certainly do need a benefactor but even the one we have now, surely must see that your better signing 1 quality player than 5 or 6 youngsters, the whole club needs looking at, who on earth is signing these players? do they never ask themselves how gateshead do it? Id be sending these muppets in charge up there for a week see the hell they do it, before this season gets into murky waters. Being 6th is giving everyone a get out of jail card, this lot be lucky to stay up.

Newcastle are one of the best supported clubs around but their success only came when the Saudi money arrived.
In this league we subsidise opposing clubs with our away support. Last night the second top team came to town and brought 15 with them.

It has in some ways but they were still in the premiership, its not like they have gobe through the leagues.

They were relegation candidates/also rans more often than not. I wouldn't mind a benefactor backing us the the same "some ways". The Saudis have transformed that club and have done it with virtually unlimited funds.
You of all people should recognise that, you're always criticising Raj for not backing the team with more cash.

I clicked on the link- scanned the text- and was instantly drawn to what chairman Winkleman said- well not so much what he said just that he is still there after stealing a football club. Always comes across as being quite an odious character. Also another chairman who gets through his fair share of managers!

Be interesting to see how the Heed fair in the next few weeks?

The only thing I despise more than that bastard of a club that is MK Dons is the group of gormless Wimbledon fans who followed them up the M1.
Did he take his coaching staff with him, does anyone know?…because sometimes it isn’t just the manger who makes a difference but the full coaching team.

Or even the scouting, they are very good at selecting players, much better than us.

Sometimes managers move on to a new club and fit in, but some don’t if they were part of a management team…is he a lone wolf or a team player…..?
Very interesting to see how it turns out.

he is in a no loss situation. if he fails with mk then he,ll be still quickly be snapped up at another national league outfit. if he is succesful then he can move upwards.

doubt he is taking his scouting system all the way down there. That gives us the possibility of taking it over with a bit of thought and action. something we do not have at the moment.

The thing is teams like Gateshead sign players a lot of our fans would probably turn their noses up at. Can't imagine many of us would have been signing and dancing over Dinanga coming back or signing a player like Hunter from South Shields. They had a certain way of playing under Williamson and brought players in to fit that system and style. A club blue print and style, be interesting to see if their new manager plays that way or they look for someone who already wants to play that way to fit.

their style is certainly not my style and this is where the new appointment of managers become important. the best man on paper might not actually be the best man for the job and they need a mark 2 williamson more than one who prefers a different style but a better cv.

We seem to go for the Pick n Miix method.

and the final score was. if we had played against 10 men like they did the bunker would have gone into meltdown if we had lost it. looked as totally as clueless as we did to score again after they did in the same way we did last saturday.
