It depends whether you mean characters like the artful dodger and Fagin, cos I would suggest one or two may feel they've had their pocket picked.

We’ll they are a pretty anonymous bunch in general, there’s no argumentative gobshite for a start and most teams have one…and an enforcer is sadly lacking..not forgetting a skipper with an ‘opinion’ who’ll step in.

Yes the days of Smith, Bremner, Mackay & Co. have all gone now - more the pity.

Eric Cantona, Now theres a one not to mess with.

Can you imagine him in our dressing room.
Players would not have time for a pint afterwards they would be too knackered.

We have none- desperate for a Billy Ayre or Gary Strodder in Defence. Need a Willie Boland or Tommy Widdrington in Midfield and really miss the Shithousery of Andy Monkhouse.

Speaking of Tommy Widdrington- isn't he managing Aldershot now- bet he can't wait for Saturday - they'll rip us a new one if his team play like he did, coupled with our pea hearted players potentially not getting off the bus.
Would take a draw now!

Fact is, if they can turn it on one week and collapse the next week the problems on the pitch.

And that is exactly where it is, no doubt about it. We have players with talent, players who have proved they can perform but what we don't have is players with the right attitude to perform week in and week out.

The biggest and best character Pools ever had was Gordon Watson, watch the his interview on Switch of Play.

Well for all his faults Big Bob Newton would have loved to have been in the box on Saturday with all those wasted corners.

We’re going to have to change the name of the club to ‘Softy Walter FC’…club chant…’Oh no, after you old boy’ ..or…’ Would you mind awfully not being so beastly ..what, what’.

we do have players who have talent and can perform but usually when the team is doing well and not when things are going against them. how many just mentally gave up after their second goal and how many training ground bust ups do we ever hear rumours about.
