I’m understand it’s a short term deal…he said the main draw was the fans after playing with the Boro team in the preseason friendly…he knows Josh Umerah

He started against Dorking had 60 odd minutes, he needed to be constantly told when to press when to find space, considering he’d been with the squad a month training etc he just wasn’t up to it based on that, when you think he was playing for a contract. He got the hook after finding himself Centre field in space breaking forward and stood on the hall and fell over. Hope the lad makes a career for himself but that summed him up for me.

there is possibly a greater chance of that career being in lower non league football than making it as a league player. there are so many like him who fail to get a new contract at clubs because of more younger players coming through. they cannot keep em all.

You have to question who recommended Pools take a look at him, because he didn't look up to the task

thing is we are well down the pecking order for premier and championship clubs young players. if they were that good they,d have gone to the league below their parent club are.

They may struggle to get game time at the level below their parent club, Hence us.

To be fair, no club can guarantee a someone coming in on trial is going to be a success, that’s why they’re on trial in the first place….and that’s why he’s gone.

Nice dilemma for Askey for a change.

I suspect the new lad will be on the bench and he will stick to Feaths, maybe bringing on later in the game if its going well.

Possibly not even in the squad as Boro won’t want him cup tied ?

Indeed, this is quite possible although I dont suppose he is anywhere near playing for their fist team so they might not mind him being cup- tied. We'll find out soon enough.

Team sheet is out and Agyemang is on the bench for today's game. Pools starting 11 unchanged from last Saturday.

Welcome Terrell! rolf

if he is just above average then his signing can be classed as a bonus. might see if that happens today.
