lowest gate of the season. score, even a fortune teller would not stake a bad reputation on that or the starting 11.

I can see us getting a response from Wednesday.
Hard fought 3-0 win. Second clean sheet of the season. We need it, Askey needs it, players need it and our goal difference need it.

Listening to commentary and it appears we have another numpty with control of the whistle.
I wonder how near we are to a manager saying enough is enough and taking his team off at what seems like blatant agendas from the officials.

Unfortunately, that's the standard of referring in National League. As an ex league club, these refs be con into giving us nothing. Really sad to be honest.

On the subject of reffing, I have noticed that not many penalties are being give in the NL. I dont just mean for us but over the whole NL. When you look at the scores and scorers, in all the games you see very few "pen". Having said that, no doubt Eastleigh will get one in the second half.

I thought it was a foul from Lacey but need to see it again. On first view I thought he came from behind and probably was a foul. I’ve seen far worse from referees at the Vic than this one so far.

Pools far better than recent games and unlucky to be drawing heading into the 2nd half. Feaths, Mani O, Fergie and Crawford all having pretty strong games.

From what Twitter is saying we are making chances but missing them. It is going to go one of two ways: Pools get third or Eastleigh hit us on the break. Darent specualte.

Two games Featherstone played in and an unarguable upturn in performances. Yes i know, probs other factors as well but Feaths clearly helping. I admit, I had my reservations but glad to be proved wrong.

Well that was an excellent performance, from out of nowhere, featherstone best player on the pitch by a country mile. Was a performance that we saw quite a few times at the back end of last season, full of energy.

Only found out he was back today and thought it was a piss take….
But they all played well, let’s hope they get as many compliments for their ‘excellent’ performance as they’ve got complaints recently for their poor performances.

Was a great performance. Nobody had a poor game. Everybody will enjoy this one and we move onto the next.

It wasn't "from out of nowhere." Pools were much better on Wednesday night than in the previous performances - also with Featherstone in the side. Seems some people couldn't see past the negativity of another defeat to spot the improvement.

Was a good move on Wednesday to get Seaman out of the team - Hendrie is a much better full back at the minute. Today, with Finney dropped, the side was as good as it can be in present circumstances. There isn't much on the bench, but this side is capable of getting some results.

Anyway, we're back in a play off spot  That might not last, but things are looking up.

Fair play to the lads today, they all worked their socks off and played some great stuff. Some outstanding performances on show from Crawford who looked a different player, Grey probably had for me, his best game in a pools shirt, featherstone ran the game and made Maguire look a fool a few times. At the back I thought Hendrie and Mani O were immense and Ferguson had his best game in a while. It was lovely to see us pressing and quickly winning the ball back, something we haven't done enough of lately. Some cracking tackles as well today, great one from Umerah and a few from Grey. Overall really pleased, hope they can keep those levels up.

Pools very good today. Eastleigh were either bang average or Pools made them look terrible. Hope it is the latter.

If the reported return date of Mancini / Cooke is true then we need to scrape results until December. Hypothetically, we recruit a couple of additions and then those two also come back into the fold. Reason to be hopeful. UTP.

Good performance and well deserved win, thought when equalizer went in (which Killip would have saved) was one of those days but team did well with a number of good performances

Well done Askey as well, Hendrie for Seaman makes us a lot more solid and bringing Featherstone back short term has helped

With news Mancini and Cooke may be back sooner than first thought it’s been a good few days

Give over, everyone in he ground knew where he was going to put it,but hardly any keepers would have saved it.

The tackle of the match was surely Mani O's, when Crawford sold him short, but Mani got in a last ditch clean tackle before their striker could pull the trigger

That was an absolutely cracking tackle. If he'd got it wrong he would have been sent off - but he nailed it.

The big difference for me today (and on Wednesday for that matter) is that the playing it out short from the keeper most of the time wasn't driving me mad. Before Featherstone came back into the team we were playing it out short then getting caught out because we didn't seem to know what to do with it. Today there were so many attacking options/runners the whole game through. The lads looked like they were trying really hard to defend the set pieces as well. They're still a bit flakey at times - but it's great to see they're working at it.

Really good result today - against a team who've been in good form recently and once again - with a referee who didn't do us any favours.

Joe Grey has come in for a bit of criticism on here lately, but his sliding tackle which started the move for our second goal was tremendous. Then he goes & lays on Mani D's second.
Well done Joe

He’s getting an extended run, so up goes confidence and match fitness, result is a better player than those cameo appearances.

did not listen or watch the game. it was a victory for those with confidence amongst the fans as a much needed one for the team. wednesday night could have been another turning point of our season like the chesterfield one was in a negative fashion. featherstone back has helped plus a few tweeks in the team selection has given some better hope for the future. mind you after the previous saturday it could not have got any worse but at least that has not happened this week.
