That's their prime aim surely. I agree; their business risk, their loss. Trouble is that its structered as a loan underpinned by the charges on all club assets. Even if they sold the club for £1, the finance master agreement still hocks every nut and bolt to Sage.

There are two charges; one on the leasehold and one all all fixtures and fittings. Both are made out to Sage Investments Limited.

Then they need to be prevailed on to cancel the loans in return for a negotiated cash sum? Well shy of £2 million, obviously.

Anyone buying the club from Sage will surely insist that all charges against the club from Sage are cancelled. The valuation for the club will be based on its future profit projections which will be an ongoing loss for 4/5 months, the following season budgets and the 'goodwill'. The only unquantifiable item is the goodwill. Beyond that Sage have to accept that they have lost most of their 'investment'.

Look I’m no accountant or football finance expert but when and where has this £1.8 million been put in? Are we supposed ignore any income? Roughly half a milllion in season ticket money, the same in parachute payment and again in transfer fees would be a conservative estimate. Are you seriously meant to believe that the club has cost £3.3 million in 7 Months? Even if you stretched it to 12 months to when Sage turned up it’s an unbelievable figure. Interestingly if you add up the money generated and used it to fund a club costing £180,000 a month it would run out about now...... What a coincidence.

Hey, I don't believe a word that comes out of the place, I'm just consolidating what they say or claim.

They seriously must think people have came down in the last shower.

Does anyone know what the original loan or the total loans to Coxall were?

Goodwill will eventually be what settles this. Successful people in business rarely become successful through throwing around too much goodwill. I think they will dig their heels in and take it right to the end. If all they go away with in the end is the fixtures and fittings , I think they will take them.

What it does is backs up theory that they have plenty to hide. The thought that they thought they could sell the club involving some of the figures mentioned without them fully disclosing monthly outgoings is absurd. Do they think people were born yesterday? Especially succesful businessmen.

Tempting to say that Sage themselves did! Or at least, they've allowed Coxhall to borrow money off them without looking properly at assets etc, and it's amounted to the same thing....

I agree with everything else though - no-one in their right mind would just shovel the money in without some idea of what it was needed for, and Blackledge is highly unlikely to get back what he's sunk in no matter which way it goes. He's been hoodwinked into a bad decision, he's got to swallow at least some of it....

Sage will obviously have weighed up what their best option is, for me admin isn’t one of them.
They will be quietly hoping an investor will come in with an offer which will be nowhere near what they are after but it’s better than nowt, it will go too the last minute.
They have no chance of getting nowt from Coxhall, bankrupt and obviously salted any money he had away in wife’s name etc.

Afternoon Pools,

Sorry to drag up some bad memories but Paul Watson has wound up at Swansea City now and I am very concerned having read a few things about him, especially this thread.

He'd gone to Luton after you and was their Chief Operations Officer, but with us, he's been elevated and has a big say on player recruitment.

I've said since he was first appointed, I can't see what his credentials are for building a squad of Championship players, or why he was given the job. He seems a bit of a chancer and hasn't come across at all well in interviews.

Should we be worried? Did the police/politicians ever get involved up with you?

Make sure you have enough life jackets and lifeboats because you could be sailing into rough seas…..don’t forget the distress flares, you’ll need them.

I guess no one at HUFC would be welcoming Paul Watson back?

Are you surprised he's ended up at a Championship Club as Director of Football?

I mean, I am. It makes no sense to me at all.

We're well shut of him, thank the lord!

You may want to check which agents he deals with as all the players you sign will be from a concentrated few. There was a suggestion that he liked a brown envelope (allegedly) bbolt

It is amazing how these slippery characters resurface after lying low for a bit.

As Snowy said - you might want to man the lifeboats

Hopefully, he's improved - given our club was on the verge of folding after some very questionable stewardship by the then owners.

Wow. Those were dark days. The club was a shambles in every department.

I hope things work out for Swansea.
