A great listen a few revealing stories certainly no time for Mike Newell. Seems to have done well for himself now. If Pools are looking for a media man back Mark Simson he has never truly been repl.aced

He had a great love of Hartlepool, he didn’t want to talk about any of his other teams, full of praise for the players who he couldn’t understand weren’t playing at a higher level more so Mark Tinkler although I do believe Tinkler had an ankle injury which curtailed his earlier playing days. To say he wasn’t keen on Newell is an understatement. He was on the Quoit club a few years back with Goffy, a great night’s entertainment.
