Most managers state that yes they are looking to strengthen the squad but prospective signings have to fit in. After JA's recent experiences of rebels maybe he thought to swerve this one.
I'm sure Dorking will be saying there was a host of clubs wanting his signature but they fought them all off.
Will they go for Mason Greenwood I wonder.

Yes he said there were a number of clubs interested in him but of course the Dorking manager vision of the club sold it to him. Dorking population 11000 with a ground capacity 3000 I suppose that’s a good career move.

A player born in South Shields moves down to Surrey….to a club with classic non league crowds….. if other clubs were interested, I doubt Dorking would be top of the list of desirable destinations.
Something odd about this?
Unless he fancies the genteel ‘good life’.

there certainly is. a job for miss marple. managers however know all about players even ours that we do not know about them so there can be more about just his ability on the pitch to worry them. doubt many want bad influences, bad trainers and timekeepers to cause extra problems than what they already have.

I've heard that they've given him a three year contract so that has to be a major factor. If true, how the hell do they do it with their finances?

Another case of ‘Rich Man’s Hobby club Syndrome’?
Where successful wealthy person takes it in to their head they can make a silk purse from a sow’s ear.
They believe they can apply their business acumen to making an unlikely club into winner by hose piping it down with cash, but any fool can do that. As soon as the cash dries up, the project fails because there’s no substance to the club chosen in fan base and history…hence a vanity project to give the new owner a chance to look in the mirror (with love bites on if’s frame) and get a satisfying feeling of their own brilliance.
Unsustainable.

Hope they are providing the accommodation - ive worked in Surray and believe you me the only footballers round that way affording houses belong at Chelsea (their Cobham training base is there like to be fair). Must of been decent cash involved and the promise of first team football which he rightly should be given hes a good footballer at this level and proved it last season. Will be a good asset for them but shame the rest of the team isnt upto much

thought they were part time. even better as they might have fixed him up with a non job as well and does not need to train monday to friday between games and only on a thursday night if they have a midweek game. not every player likes training by a long way.

They've lost to three of the top seven and beat Southend when Southend were top.
If their owner has businesses he can employ Pybus as perhaps something like a security guard on decent money, alongside his wages for part time football, thus avoiding the FFP rules. Then provide him with a nice pad (also owned by the club chairman). Throw in a three year contract and job's a good un. If the lad shines and the vultures start circling he'll get his money back plus some and then Mr Pybus might qualify for a backhander to boot.
