Going down the first time was a disaster for me, doubtless after years of living with the trauma of re-election were no one came back once out side the league, I soon discovered the disaster wasn’t quite that bad.
The second time, regrettable as it is just annoying and holds no fears as it once did, but I have no wish to linger in the National league either.
As long as a firm hand is taken and the self pity stops on and off the pitch, we hopefully won’t have to endure the trauma of Scunthorpe and Torquay supporters.
I’ll be honest, I’m looking forward to it now.

It does not feel as bad as the first time.

The first time suddenly got worse once reality hit home after the 0 - 1 defeat to Dover.

everything isn,t as bad second time around. doubt promotion back if we manage it as quick as last time will feel as good either.

I remember the last time Grimsby were relagated, Their fans said they drew too many games, We drew 16.
Think they bounced straight back up!

Remember the dodgy pen v Tranmere, The sneaky twat hiding in the Goal v Stevenage, Stoppage time EQ v Northhampton.
There is probaly more.

Only 1 team drew more games than us.

so many fans and even managers are satisfied with draws because they are not defeats. personally a drawn game at home feels as bad as a defeat. draw 10 games on the bounce nd in ten games lose half of them and win the rest you,ll have 5 points more, but i can hear it now being mentioned about those 10 drawn games being a run of 10 games undefeated and making a big song and dance about it.

Good assessment.
Under JA at one stage 1 defeat in 9 ended up as only 3 wins in 12.
Unbeaten runs only produce productivity  when theres more wins than draws.
Like when we went unbeaten for our last 13 games in 91 Promotion  sctatchinghead

Big stand out game changer was them 2 sitters missed at the end of the Stevenage game on Easter Monday.

a bigger stand out was not winning a single league game for well over 2 months at the start of the season. if we had carried on like that i,m sure we,d have got into the record books for a wrong reason. one thing i think we can all agree on is the team finished the season better than they started it. cannot be bothered looking it up but i,m sure if JA results had happened through the season we,d have been safe.

yeh madness to think what only 1 game and one kick of the ball would of done for our season !

Finneys chances against Stevenage still haunts me - as does the opposite fixture when that absolute ball bag hid in the goal !

think we should forget all this and move on. know before next season starts there will be games we threw away and ones we should not have got anything from but we did.
