More secret dealings by Houchen, no mention of what civic buildings they are taking over, you can tell a GE is looming, Jill will be pleased.

Reading the article I wonder if Pools ground is one of the assets transferred, the Council own it ?

His halo is definitely slipping.
When this all comes out its going to be interesting but that will be after the next election.
Hopefully by then #LazyJill will be gone but hopefully not the Vic.

There is a Yorkshire Post article with more detail (sorry I've never figured out how to attach links!). Apparently indoor bowls club and leisure centre in list, Pools ground is not.

Teesside Development Corporation, I belief £40 million was unaccountable allegedly after it was wound up but there was no investigation carried out to find out why.

They belong to the town, they are not going to sell them off on the cheap like Houchen did with the Redcar steelworks, sold the land for £100 to his mates, Musgrave was one of them who then sold it on for £75 million.

Middlesbrough MP McDonald made accusations under Parliament privilege but refused to say it outside when threatened by Houchen with legal action.

If you look at the PRIVATE EYE website there's loads of the stuff on there going back a while. More detailed allegations than McDonald made which were vague anyway. No sign of action from Houchen against PE.

Houchen gets a Peerage so does this means he resigns as Teesside Mayor and there will be an election?

In a statement, Mr Houchen said: "As a member of the House of Lords, I will be uniquely placed as being an elected mayor with a seat in Parliament. The additional powers I will be given to make and amend laws are something no other mayor in the country will have..
If there is any skullduggery it might be a short lived peerage although I doubt they will find any as these people usually cover their a****.

There is still no mention of this in the Echo/Gazzette or Fail.
Is this not a new worthy story or something more suspicious?

Didn’t Teesside Development Corporation fund or part fund the Boro stadium, why can’t this Mayoral Corporation do similar for Pools, they are taking over the Leisure Centre ?

They certainly did. Pools were ‘compensated’ with the luxury of new turnstile blocks.
Cleveland County Council funded the groundwork’s/access roads sound the ground so WE paid for it.l
It was actually suggested by someone with no idea of how football works that Pools could play there to fully utilise the stadium, but I remember Sir John Hall blowing the suggestion clean out of the water saying football was tribal and the idea was nonsense.
