The atmosphere is more akin to a pre season friendly than a derby match in a massive play off game.

Got to be salford. Stockport have been awful first half. Might shut up some of the arrogant stockport fans that have crawled out of the woodwork in the last couple of years, thinking they are big time Charlie's.

Then bradford or carlisle to beat sky's favourite 2nd team

Stockport win on penalties, I think they will beat either Bradford or Carlisle.

Well done DC I hope your team go on to win at Wembley. We have not been the same since you left although I can understand why you did and at least you did not get into petty squabbles when our chaiman was blaming you and not himself for our demise this season.

DC left Pools in a mature dignified manner.
Im sure he can become a great manager like Neil Warnock.
Always appreciate the excellent job he did for Pools.

Hardly dignified manner really. He took his desire for a new contract public then signed it and said how happy and settled in the area he was, then 6 weeks later walked out for bigger bucks! On top of that his missus posted a scathing attack on the club and chairman on social media.
He was always going to leave but for bigger and better things, but the way he left meant he's resented by a lot of fans rather than respected for the job he did for us.

The trains on the west coast are going to be packed that day with Carlisle also winning.

Great manager, but his departure soured it for me.
Why the mystery?
Why not just be open and say he’s had a better offer, I’d understand, more money and home every night……we’re used to having successful managers taken from us, nowt knew there.
Anyway he’s gone now. HUFC are all that matters.

Well who has attacked or thought of attacking our chairman on social media anyway. He did a good job at pools and should always be remembered for that. Always remember he could equally have signed this contract and got sacked before the season ended also. Better finding another club nowadays before the chairmen of clubs get an itchy finger. Anyway i,m glad stockport won after their recent injury problems and a ref who in the game only seemed to caution one sides players and ignore salfords similar fouls. At least whoever does win next week will be a proper team and not another bankrolled lot with minimum fan support.

So will sky as they,ll need to find someone else to show in the crowd next sunday unlike in those last two games. only one good thing about salford is they help you dislike harrogate a bit.

I some times think Challinor was good for Pools but thought also he come across as a bit false, Singh thought he was with his fist pumping ?

I fully agree with you Mr PTID.
That snake is undoubtedly good at his job.
But the man is untrustworthy and a liar.
We were well and truly shafted by him.

Can’t believe some are slagging Challinor off. Short memories. I’m nearly 62 and in my opinion the best manager we have ever had. We where shafted by Singh and our demise is solely to do with him . End of!

Completely agree mr H.poolie I am 70 and he is definitely in my top 4 along with messrs Clough,Wilson and Cooper. Despite what some may think he only signed his new contract at Pools so they would receive compensation which was not mentioned by Raj. The man showed class when he clapped the Pools supporters at the end of the game at Stockport, remember he was not allowed to bo this when he left. As for his wife having a go she had NOT signed a NON DISCLOSURE form that Raj insisted on.

Challinor gave us hope and belief with out him i believe we would never have been in the EFL again. Singh was hanging off his coat tails and when the coat left the rest is history.
Anyone knocking him really do need to give your a head a shake.

Don't think anyone would knock him as a manager, but as a person it's fully understandable. No doubt he'll walk away from Stockport if another club offers more cash.
Ironically I actually believe if he'd stayed he would have been in the running for the Sunderland job when mowbray got it.

It’s been Pool’s and a lot of other lower league clubs fate that if we get a decent manager the vultures will be circling to snatch him away.
I really am amazed how some fans still can’t comprehend that we can’t match these clubs financially, not to mention the chance to ply their trade at a higher level or more accessible location to them.
Make no mistake, not all, but most managers and players are itinerant contractors who’ll beat the rats off a sinking ship when a better offer comes along.
Never get too attached.

Agreed Snowy but it was all the fist pumping and the comments he made after signing a new contract even to the point he would be near his son who just started at Durham Uni. Stockport must have had Challinor on their radar weeks before he was appointed and irrespective if it’s illegal no one knows who Challinor was in contact with when he was home on his days off. He wasn’t a high profile manager so I doubt the paparazzi would be chasing him all over.

Common knowledge the 3 year contract was only signed to benefit Pools with the Compensation Agreement.

So sorry Mr Essex, but that really is a quite quite ridiculous comment.
Selfless Saint Chally ?
A man who always thinks of others first and himself last ?
A saint ?...no.. maybe a god ?
Do you still pray to him every night ?
I know this is the Bunker and social media and all that, but come on.
Hope you don't mind me asking, but is everything alright with you upstairs these days ?
Worrying.
Look after yourself.

The man is just an accomplished liar.
The false smile /smirk, for the non verbal behaviour connoisseurs, is the give away at the beginning of the interview.
No better than a used car salesman.

DC: Raj, I,m leaving i,m jacking it in.

Raj:"Thank fuck for that no more fist pumps"
But why DC i,ve told the fans(mugs) I,m
Giving you a Play-off budget.
DC: Look our lass is busting me balls, Wants
To be near home.
Raj:What about ya son at Durham.
DC: Fuck him, He,s on his own.
Anyway i,ve had a better offer with loads of dosh.
Raj: Stockport:Listen DC, Wanna make a few bob out of that lot.
DC: I,m listening.
Raj: You sign this dodgy contract, With a little buy out clause.
We both make a shit load of dosh.
DC: You couldn't make it up.
Raj I just have, They will believe anything.
DC: HAHAHAHA.

bet we have all walked away from jobs because we were offered more money elsewhere. why should football management be any different especially if 6 months down the line and you get the recruitment wrong you,ll get sacked. owners/chairmen can have shorter memories than fans.

genuine supporters are the ones who stick with their club through thick and thin and appreciate the good times far more than the new ones following some success. usually the latter breed are the first to moan and walk away quickly if the wheels even wobble slightly never mind come off. at least stockport fans left our seats alone.

Stockport either turn up or dont - Carlisle for me have that extra bit of bite and i think if Dennis is up for it - they will sneak it

no doubt it will be a tepid first half and may end up in penalties

Wonder if Garner manages to stay on the pitch, Can,t remember if it was him who wrecked Mayo.
I know he wrecked 1 of ours.

if dennis is fit i would not risk garner starting especially after simpson slated the ref last saturday and got the usual letter about his behaviour fine/ban etc. the match ref might want to male a name for himself and be the centre of attention and garner fits the bill for a red card.
