Been watching a lot of football last few weeks, in particular the relegation battle at the bottom of the premier. As most of my mates support Leeds I am hoping that they survive but can’t see it. Think the bottom 3 will stay as it is .
Going to watch Stockport in the playoffs then probably Everton afterwards. I watched the highlights of the Sheffield Wed game which looked thrilling and of course Man City thrashing Real Madrid. What will I do when the football season is over? Maybe watch some cricket !

Durham are going great guns in the Championship. Not much consolation for you as you live closer to Headingley.

For those of us on the right side of the Tees, a season ticket for the T-20 games in June and July at Chester-le-Street costs £70 - 7 home games at a tenner a pop. Doesn't last much longer than a footie match and is a very pleasant way to spend a sunny summer evening.

would love to see both go down because one lot are scousers and they others are typical arrogant yorkshire folk who think they are superior in everything.

I have worked with both and never ever found them arrogant, the most arrogant people I have ever worked with are people from Manchester, they think they are the bees knees.

Haha Accrington how could I forget Wimbledon especially as my second sport is tennis to play and watch. Isn’t the Ashes in the UK this year or have I got it wrong? Leeds absolutely useless against West Ham. Don’t deserve to stay up

How many Yorkshiremen do you know? I’m one and lived amongst them all my life and arrogant is the exact opposite of what I’d describe Yorkshiremen as….sorry Yorkshire people or whatever term I now should use

I have lived in Yorkshire for 45 years. They are very proud of their County and their heritage but no more arrogant than anywhere else.
They are not happy seeing their cricket team sitting at the bottom of Div 2 at the moment, especially when they see who is sitting proudly at the top.

lived there is three spells for over 35 years. they even have an official yorkshire day for a start. possibly this arrogance is more cricket related than football once you get away from bellend road where their fans think they are a cut above the rest. then there are the proffesional yorkshiremen like boycott and the tv presenter who died the other year harry grayshon. mention the Y word and you can feel em getting all warm inside.

Having a Yorkshire day says nowt. I couldn't even tell you when it is it's that irrelevant and I reckon most of us in the county couldn't tell you either and all that said, because some muppet has decided it's a good idea doesn't make the people in the county arrogant, it was hardly put to the vote. I'd wager that that most people's response would be 'what a fucking waste o' time that is and how much is it costing?'

Leeds fans. I know loads and have been to Elland Road almost as much as the Vic. Born and brought up in Leeds so I know it better than anywhere else and again, arrogant they are not. Always the bridesmaid never the bride and constantly expecting the worst. The rollercoaster of being a Leeds fan, drama is always just around the corner. The current chatter at Leeds is the worry that it's all gonna go a bit Peter Ridsdale with the impending relegation.

As for warm feelings inside....loads of people are patrotic. Personally, I don't get it. I had no say on when and where I was born and it's all just land to me made complicated by people drawing fucking 'do not cross' lines all over the place. That said, if you love where you're from, crack on, get yer flags out and all that and celebrate it, no skin off my nose.

But again, I fail to see the arrogance, it just isn't there or at least no more than anywhere else.

From an outsider looking in I'd describe Man Ure fans as arrogant and the fucking bar codes who get right on my tits. This takeover of theirs will make them all the more insufferable.

think there is a good excuse for the bar codes. when they just about avoided relegation the whole football world used to mention if a team was playing them it was regarded as a hard match. someone in a similar league position like bournemouth was regarded as a team you should be able to get points off. tell people this season after season they,ll believe the hype in the end.

those who live in small towns in lancashire aint too bad either. to be honest i,d vote for them especially if you add their attitude to tourists into it. If its unfriendly folk then you can look no further than coventry, rugby and leamington for that.

A lad I worked with once said he worked in Slough in the 70’s and advertised for a swap as you could do with council houses back in the day, so he could move his family down.
A woman who worked in his factory said she fancied a move and asked if he could show him Hartlepool on the map.
He duly did so and she said she didn’t fancy Scotland but was looking for somewhere up north near Peterborough  .

if they are anything like her in the kitchens two brothers they had ideas about the bradford area and the north east that does not exist. they loved the week they spent with us where the highlight was the day they spent in hartlepool. took em in the headland cafe for the carvery and they looked shocked and looked at each other with dread. after eating it they were gobsmacked as they were with the local pubs. one actually went back home and a week later took his new girlfriend back up in their motorhome with a week in yorkshire and another at crimdon dene.
