Agreed. Should win a lot more games next season. Not predicting massive success just saying we should win a lot more games which will cheer us all up. Also, ten of these teams are within reasonable travelling distance so lots of jolly away days at the likes of York, Rochdale, Oldham, Halifax, Solihull, Kidderminster, Chesterfield, Fylde, Altringham and Gateshead.

Day out in Blackpool with Fylde. Hopefully will be early or April next year. How, known outlet luck, it be a Tuesday night in December, January or February.

LNER stadium is a terck from the City centre out on the ring road, but still a good day out anytime of the year.

Shocking league. Worst it's been in decades next season. Recruit well and you'll easily be play offs

We've got the second worst badge/logo by a country mile - only Borham Wood's is worse than ours. It's almost as if we were trying to save money and ended up with clip art by a teenager.

(Which is probably what happened).

We would smash this league if we had the team we had in 2020. But we don't. Over to you Raj and John Askey and UTP.

Really? Most of them are fussy confections, so best to keep it simple is my philosophy.
Our logo does not put a single point on league table, we have bigger concerns than logo’s to worry about.

Top clubs in the league next season are probably going to be Chesterfield 6000, Southend 5800, Oldham 4800, Pools 4500, York 3600 & Rochdale 3000. Pools could be in the top 5 easy with the best attendance. Just hope Askey can deliver a strong team to draw the crowds into the Vic.

one thing that is needed is a strong start just to keep the crowds interested. a poor start could see crowds fall away quickly and will then be harder to get them back with the mentality of having to play so called shit teams every week. if it did happen i,d prefer seeing a 5 nil win against oxford city than a 5 nil defeat by oxford united.

On a positive note, considering JAs current squad (and probably limited resources for recruitment) we'd no doubt struggle again massively in div 2 next season and sack him before the seasons out.
At least we've a better opportunity to win a lot more games this season, keep JA at the club, and build momentum for future seasons.

exactly - i had this conversation with the father in law over the weekend on how my feelings where about all this now the dust had settled and retained list was out. I said tbh, it could be worse. I have a team to support and go and watch every other week. I may also get to alot more away games given now alot are technically on our doorstep compared to last season - plus should i be over the lakes with work ill catch most the west games too (so bonus there aswell).
The main thing being though like others have said, we should look forwards to seeing Pools win more games and thump the lower sides (thats not always a given as we know this team is currently a bad NL team). But should JA get it right we will and should be pushing for top 7. If it doesnt work out first time given whats going on in the background then next season all being well with some new cash behind us should see us going for top and auto promotion. I wonder if this new rule is going to come in also as it really should be at least 2 in the auto promo spot.

anyways im looking forwards to hopefully seeing what JA can do and who he brings in. Lets keep hold of the likes of Dodds and add more in that calibre of player and im sure we will be just fine !

two things we do need before the season starts is the ability to deal with long throw ins and have somebody on the books to take them. this seems to be necessary in the national league as we could face a points deduction for taking short throw ins.

Actually had to laugh when I did a youtube search of our upcoming opponents to get a gauge on the ground - Oxford City.

Without any disrespect to our new friends Oxford City... to be exchanging 20,000+ Bradford City with 300+ Oxford City... wow, what a fall off. Hope all 36 Hartlepool players from last season are proud of this incredible achievement!

have i just read correctly that we could face a points deduction if we dont do long throw ins ?

please tell me you meant we face not gaining 3 points by having that aerial threat from a long throw and said player scoring from it and not the way i read it ?

Come on, Oxford City will double that now they're in the big league
Ben Dudzinski - on Pools' books 7 years ago but never got in the team.

We’ve got more chance of 3 points off Oxford City then Bradford, that’s all that counts next season, no good going to play in front of 20,000 if the result is likely to be no points….. we’re not there for the atmosphere just the loot in points.

it was just a sarcastic remark about the use of long throw ins that every single club in non league seem to use. its as if its compulsory.

then there is the other thing to look at. if we are doing well we could outnumber the home crowd. one thing about oxford city is that by all accounts its easy to find unlike that manor ground was in the distant past. on top of that we also might be able to roll up at 2.55 and either pay on the gate or ticket office without the need to buy weeks in advance and find out you cannot attend then.
