Surprised they didn’t get more votes considering how well they did at the last election, Tyce will be disappointed, he could possibly be standing as a candidate in the G.E. in Hartlepool I think.

Reform is just a vote splitter. On the original election in 2019, anonymous and soon to resign Mike Hill got elected courtesy of Reform.

They will be a vote splitter at the next election some Tory voters would rather vote ReformUK or the Green Party rather than Labour.
There is always a low turnout in local elections so not a real indicator who people are going to vote for in a General Election.

really what benefit would a reform person give to a local council and what local policies does the party have. do they actually believe in decisions being made locally anyway and what i have heard of them might appeal in a general election but not a local one.

The only way Reform could get into Parliament is by proportional representation, which I detest because all you get then are fudges and fixes.
So basically they have no chance.

Previously called UKIP led by Farage who has disappeared into the sunset with his binoculars after making a few bob of the back of Brexit.

The trouble with local council elections is people vote for the party and not the candidate.
I’d like political party’s removed from local elections and the candidates must reside in the ward they represent.

Anything to do with Farage I would stay well away from. Charismatic personality but not a logical thinker

Anyone can pull a system to pieces but it takes a genius to replace it with a better one

Sorry to contradict you but yes a system can easily be pulled to pieces and no genius required to replace it….Hitler and Stalin are perfect examples…… they did control their media but anyone with brain could see through it.

think most people would agree. its fine standing for a party as long as you do not follow the party line of the national party where the policies can be detrimental to the residents who support you. really you want independant thinkers who may support some party in the general election. doubt there are many around who always vote for one party always that totally agrees with all their policies.

Reform U.K. had 500 candidates in the local elections, they won 6 seats which some what surprised me not that I would have voted for them either.
