Chesterfield, Oldham and Halifax are not far to travel either. Yeovil have been relegated and it is looking likely Torquay will go down as well, so two crazily long trips are off the calendar.

Oh and Rochdale not far either.

If we don't go pop, south shields will probobly get our new derby game before long.

Good news too, we be on B.T sports again, on a Saturday afternoon at 17:20 kick off against Chesterfield, Southend, Notts County (if don't go up) and a handful of other teams. I'm looking forward to that.

The only good reason to be cheerful is that 3 up 3 down from the National League is coming - it should be voted on this summer, and might be in place for the 2023/24 season. Unless the NL refuses to reform its governance, which is always likely.

same with me. one ground i have always used the train to get to without any hassle. what do fans have to do now at the new ground. hang around for hours waiting for a couple of mini buses to take em back to the city centre. heard that parking is at a minimum which is a disgrace with it being so far out of town walking aint an option.

in the heads of fans this is the worst relegation any club can suffer. fans need to clear their heads and forget some of our opposition clubs names and concentrate on pools. its hardly been 2 years of great memories playing many of these league 2 clubs and a defeat is a defeat no matter who defeats us.

I appreciate a lot of people's nerves are understandably still raw and I am not arguing with your sentiments but I am trying not to wallow in misery. We are down, there is nowt we can do about that so just trying to look forward a little bit.

Why would anyone look forward to Gateshead away,its absolutely shit.

Thing is, it is quite close so a decent away following is possible particularly if Pools are doing well. Thats the point I am making. Trying to be positive.

The team never turned up at any of the games I saw at Gateshead last time around. The worst was when Dickie Dosh was in charge - baffling selections, square pegs in round holes... wonder if he taught Keith Curle all he knows?

I've not been to Gateshead for a match but it reminds me of the Withdean ground that Brighton played at when they were homeless. An athletics track to keep the action at a distance. Grim.
