Sadly can,t make it for this one but have a feeling we are going to put in a battling performance.

Won't predict the score but even a point would be good against a side running away at the top. Keeping a clean sheet and getting a goal from anywhere will do. Iv'e got everything crossed.

Orient are beginning to 'run out of steam' according to their fans.

First 10 games they won 9 of them which is how they managed to pull ahead. They flattened teams no problem and were full of confidence.

More recently they have drew 3 on the bounce. By no means are they rubbish but their fans have commented they look lethargic and nervous.

They will go up, probably as champions but it isn't a bad time to play them given they're not on their best run of form currently.

Their away form in last 6 games isn't great either, only won 1, its their home form that will get them the title.

Will only accept 1 point if we win the 3 games after.
Time to stand up n do tbis ourselves as the favours have come to an end even though they were gratefully welcome.
Mathematically and thats what its about now we need to be 1 point in front of Crawley after game 43.

Then the players mite/shud react properly to 2 7000 crowds for the Crawley n Barrow games
UTP.

In recent games Pools have shown they are capable of scoring goals against anybody: Kemp, Umerah and Cooke all have a goal in them and we've gone from being one of the teams with the lowest 'goals for' tallies in the division to mid-table in that regard - put it another way, Pools have scored 40, Gillingham and Rochdale 23 apiece!

The 64,000 dollar question for the rest of the season is can we score more than the opposition in games? Pools still have the worst defensive record in the division by a distance. Askey isn't the type of manager to set up the side to defend - and anyway Keith Curle tried that and it didn't work.

Their last 8 gams they have won 4 & drawn the other 4 - No defeats - so I wouldn't say their form was poor and in fact over these last 8 games including all teams they are top of the form guide.

Going to be tough to get anything from this game, draw would be the best but does not help in the situation we are in.

Agree a draw would be a good result on paper but no good for us. We got to shut that back door it has to be top priority for Askey. Closing the door would build more confidence . Look at Everton under Dyche.

Pools keeping a clean sheet? Ave you been sniffin? Orient will score, just a question of if Pools score the same or more.

have we or gone out not to be defeated. know its been a mixture of playing catch up and throwing leads away, but for me many are quite happy as long as we do not lose. that included managers as well as fans who love quoting stuff like the club has gone X number of games undefeated but fail to say over half have been drawn.

Curles tactics were not to lose, Askeys are try to win. Thats why we are left exposed at times.
Doncasters tactics last night 2nd half, Sit in our own half and defend our lead almost worked as well
And made Crawley look decent.

Just to add a touch of realism….

I fail to see any possible outcome but a sizeable Orient win unless we play out of our skin and the Orient dressing is filled with free cannabis skunk samples.

I know it's not been a season of struggle but the finish to this one should be filled with tension, surprises and disappointments too, we should all be lapping it up, it's exciting, this is what football is all about.

With our history of defeating the odds against us we should be trying our best to put the frighteners up those other teams who may think they are now safe, we do the back's to the wall bit very well. NSD.

We will beat Leyton Orient.

Our last 3 performances have gradually improved to the point where vs Bradford you could not tell who was the relegation candidate and who was going for automatic promotion.

The difference was Andy Cook who helped them get a draw.

If we play like we did against Bradford, which I am confident we will as there is real quality in the attacking 5 players we have, we will score goals and finally get that win.

Leyton Orient currently aren't anything special and their away form is bang average to poor in last 6 games (only one win).

Too many people seeing this as 1st vs 23rd without realising how important current available playing squad, current manager and current form is - far more important than current league position in my view.

Not to sure wether I can agree that you couldn’t tell the difference as Bradford looked more comfortable on the ball. However, cannot disagree that the improvement is massive. However, once we learn how to close the back door our first win for ages will come. Good luck to the players on Saturday. At least they are trying to play good football now and giving 100%

Looks like there will be 500+ Orient fans coming up. Can't wait - should be a great atmosphere. Another draw is probably on the cards but I'm looking forward to Pools giving it a real go. Playing proper football doesn't necessarily win games but it's a sight better than turning up to watch the aimless hoofball of the Curle 'era.'

Didn't Kemp play for Orient before he moved to MK Dons? Here's hoping he has a point to prove and plays a blinder against his former employers. Ahhhh Bostik.. (just for Leggie 43).

The value bet is;

Orient winning at Half Time

Pools winning at Full Time

Odds of 40 - 1 / £5 pays for my Car Insurance due early May

It appears we have a manager with some sort of clue. Obviously orient are heavy favourites, but at least we have some semblance of hope now.

Good battling first half--play like this and we will beat the weaker teams

Good to see Pratley not getting the run of midfield and Orient getting frustrated

Crawley 2-0 up so we will be five points adrift today and Crawley have a game in hand. I guess we've been clutching at straws a bit too much. Reality starting to bite.

It’s looking desperate now. Effectively we are now six points adrift given the goal difference. Other than Colchester continuing to implode I can’t see a way back.
