Good that Curle has gone. I'll probably turn up on Saturday now out of curiosity, assuming Sweeney is caretaker.

No way would I have given a side picked by Curle another look so soon after last night, season ticket or no season ticket.

Surely we have someone lined up who Singh thinks will be a shot in the arm until seasons end but god knows who

turner ? Moore ? Wadsworth ?

Need someone in before Saturday ideally no fannying about with Sweeney

Would also like to see the bloke from Gateshead getting the perm role whatever division we end up in

Sweens is a nice guy but don’t want a nice guy in charge at the moment. We need someone like Cyril Knowles’s personality type who can put the fear of god in to the squad. Clough had it, Challinor certainly has it and legend Ronnie Moore

Whoever we get we want a tough, no nonsense personality. Who do you think. Who can motivate this lot?

Cheer up Kev….we were definitely going down with Curly Wurly, but the odds have now shortened to probably going down.
But…..?

Clueless and notice his body language against Newport? Arms folded, couldn't care less and resigned to it. Even if Pools had beat them can anyone honestly have a wish to see that sort of football for the future. Felt particularly sorry for big Josh Umerah. Lumping high balls all the time so that defenders facing the ball usually come out on top and no support for Josh from midfield. The defence? A joke and as others have said lads being played out of position. Let's hope it is a quick appointment. Maybe now even without a manager yet, a different Pools will emerge of sorts against Walsall? Surely it can't be worse than Tuesday gone? At least the shackles of KC and his not so sunshine band have departed.

Unfortunately the main problem is still at the club, every manager is going to struggle working under this guy, they are not working on a level playing field compared to other clubs. Might as well give it to sweeney in the hope, a bunch of non leaguers and kids can cobble a miracle together.

Sweeney will likely get his chance on Saturday unless Raj works with unheard of speed to get someone new in. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Tony says he'll do what he has to in the interim but doesn't want to be considered for the job full time. Sacked at the end of the season and out of work, or stay on as coach - what would you do?

Exactly this:
He sacked a manager who he claimed was better than DC.

Desperate to take any blame away from himself.
How ya supposed to get a decent manager in working under a 6 months probation period with a poor budget which gets passed of as a promotion budget to sell STs n then the new manager ends up shopping at oxfam.

We a carbon copy of Darlo but wirh a council owned ground.

Agree with KPG

I had some sympathy for Curle (until Tuesday night) but my greatest sympathy is for us - the poor saps who keep having the proverbial taken out of us - be it cash, hope, whatever - we have had a chain of 'benefactors' who benefit themselves whilst 'robbing' us of money, memories, hope, etc. etc.

But like many others, I struggle to cut the cord - after 50 years of being a proper supporter, surely the good times will arrive? So I'll be there on Saturday - more fool me.

so he has gone and really after tyuesday night he had to. however if anyone expects a new pools to come out on saturday they,ll be badly mistaken. the interesting thing will be the line up and which if any of curle,s signings will get dropped. there is no magic wand to improve this lot as the bad ones will bring the others down.

Let's hope our half time analysis is a bit more positive for a change.
