Hartley brought in 16 new players, loan and permanent. Couldn't make them work as a team play.
Total 11 games in all competitions
Won 1 Drew 4 Lost 6.

Curle brought in 14 new players, loan, permanent and free agents. Was a slow and slight improvement.
Total 29 games in all competitions
Won 7 Drew 7 Lost 15

All in all, 2 managers, 30 players in and out over the season, 3/4 of season gone.. With only W8 D11 L21. Couldn't be bothered to work out who's GD was worst.

If pools were a company, we would be out of business.

I apologise if my numbers are wrong. Please correct them :-D

Neither was anything to write home about.

one thing about all this is you do not age much between managerial appointments at pools. pne thing about KC first and last games was the team was complete garbage. with hartley there was a slight improvement in his last game to his first.

Being positive need to think of the "successes" of both!

PH - Bringing in Umerah, Menayese, Cooke (since Lennie Lawrence arrived anyway), McDonald (up to Hartley leaving).
KC - Dodds, Kemp (sadly only on loan), Pruti (potentially looks interesting if not perfect now)

KC was unlucky with injuries, though maybe down to lack of fitness when he took over and then over training which I suspect was the case, but his instant dislike of McDonald and Murray caused problems later when short on numbers front and back. There have been so many home games he should have gone after, Everton U21, Solihull (if only Tumilty hadn't scored that late equaliser!!), Stockport (when he was totally out thought). Then his 3 Free agents all from his past and all, except perhaps Missilou looking past their best.

PH problem was as mentioned above a lack of fitness and seemingly not aware of the class difference between English and Scottish football. Those dreadful tactics with poor Umerah stranded up front, at least until McDonald came in and helped a little we were never going to score.

Still a tough task for whoever gets it next but hardly their fault.

Should have said maybe those successful signings are more down to the recruitment computer than the managers?

for some reason KC stopped playing forward thinking players like McDonald, Grey, Omera and others and every game seem to be "lets not get beat" but there was a lack of Plan b when the opposing side always scored first which eventually ended up with the team where we are now and KC losing his job. Good luck to next manager because got a tough job on their hands

To be fair, there wasn’t even a ‘Plan A’.

it really worked that as we were still shipping goals without a threat going forward by doing this.
